Referees to be clapped on to the pitch ( lol )

We have the knee from players, what a waste of time and as seen on here, fb and in life divided the Uk and made things worse, now we have the happy clapping of Refs, what the hell is happening to the game we all love??



Players are being urged to show their support for referees by clapping them on to the pitch as a new campaign called "Give The Ref A Hand" is being launched in grassroots football with the hope that it will also be taken up by the professional game (The Daily Times).

Had to check the calendar to make sure it wasn't the first of April.

When I next get to the stadium I expect to be carried on a throne to my seat by four lovely maidens feeding me grapes as they struggle up the steps.

Then I want everybody in the ground to clap me and start singing "For he's a jolly good fellow" before I sit down.

What a load of cobblers.

Hell as a former referee, i took it as a complement if i got booed onto the field as well as off it

clapped on and then 5 minutes later people shouting who is looking after your labrador

The refs want to be loved.
