BREAKING: " £15MILLION CARDIFF CAN HAVE HIM FOR "

Wed Feb 17, 2021 1:08 pm

Harry Wilson's / Liverpool / his season long loan at Cardiff City has gone better than many imagined.
Wilson’s contract is till 2023 at Liverpool.

Cardiff have been told that they can have first choice on the Liverpool player who spent last season in the Premier League with Bournemouth scoring 7 goals.

The asking price is believed to be £15mill.

City have been fortunate to have had Wilson on loan this season with only having to pay half of his believed £20,000 a week wages.

A number of Championship club wanted Harry Wilson including Swansea, with Wilson choosing Cardiff City.

Burnley from the Prem also tried to buy Wilson.

There was no money to pay upfront as put out by the media and even denied by the clubs.

Cardiff City were paying £15mill for Emiliano Sala RIP, an untried Prem/Championship player.

Wilsons qualities are above the average Championship club.

So is £15mill a good buy for Cardiff City this Summer, with Cardiff having first rights?

We won't spend anywhere near that let alone on one player, I think the majority of fans will realise this though and understands that Wilson won't be here next season

What not even if we go up?

If his contract at Liverpool runs out this season that makes him a free agent ?

Whilst I would like him here,I dont think the season so far has gone better than anyone hoped? He has shown glimpses of his undoubted talent, but I think he has been held back with harris not utilising him in correct manner, lets hope he kicks on now,and has a belter for the rest of the season.
We were in the prem when we went for sala, with the hope he could keep us there, would we even consider him at that price,if we are still in the championship next year? I doubt it very much.
If we go up,then maybe.

I don't think £15m would be such a good deal for the club, even if by some miracle we got promoted.

When things were not going well here a few weeks ago,he went into his shell and seemed fed up and sulky on the pitch. Yes, that was borne out of frustration I would assume but you have to question his ability to roll up his sleeves when things get tough, as they surely would in the Premier League.

He is one of those players that have the technical ability to shine occasionally but I don't believe he has the temperament to perform to a consistently high standard.

THE KOP

LFC loanee Harry Wilson nets wicked curler from outside of the box

Farrell Keeling

February 17, 2021

Harry Wilson opened the scoring for Cardiff City last night with a brilliant, curled effort from range.

The Bluebirds went on to win their Championship encounter 2-0, taking them up to seventh in the table.

The 23-year-old winger has been quietly impressing on his season-long loan in the Welsh capital, with the latest effort boosting his tally of goal contributions this term to 12 in 23 games in England’s second-tier.

With Harvey Elliott likewise impressing in the Championship, the likelihood of the Welshman forcing his way into Jurgen Klopp’s plans next term are looking increasingly slim.

Nonetheless, we’re delighted to see the forward enjoying his football on loan, and perhaps there will be an opportunity for him to change the German’s mind in the summer.

It took a proper manager to realize that Josh is a forward and Harry is an attacking midfielder.

Harry with better players and dare I say it a modern manager is mid premier league level, he is beyond our bracket even if something daft happens.

I'd love to see him with Beisla shame it would be Leeds, but he would fit straight in.

It's about the going rate and we need to get promoted first as I think a number of prem clubs will be after him.

Not worth it.

If he was English, everyone would look at it differently.

Re: BREAKING: " £15MILLION CARDIFF CAN HAVE HIM FOR "

Wed Feb 17, 2021 5:11 pm

We could try building a team around him imo its the going rate and a player is only as good as whats around him if we are serious about progressing then we have to purchase what we think is value for money
And all this nonense if he was english we would'nt bother paying what a stupid statment
harry Wilson is in a value bracket plain and simple
christ we payed 5 million for madine
i think harry is worth the money what did villa pay for oli watkin was it close to 30 mill granted he was a striker (how much is moore now top striker in the championship) we saved a lot by not paying a lot for moore so perhaps we spend a bit more elsewhere ie wilson but everyone or nearly everone can see he stands out as a quality player i think we would be silly not to go for it.

We’d have to sell Keiffer Moore for at least £20m first.
By the way what’s our championship record fee,Chopra second time round maybe?

Considering fee's these days thats a decent price that someone other than us will pay .

Re: BREAKING: " £15MILLION CARDIFF CAN HAVE HIM FOR "

I think many owners will start to take stock of their financial positions after the year they've had and will think twice before splashing the cash.

The big guns will still be buying expensive players like there's no tomorrow but small to middle sized clubs will need to tighten their belts to survive.

Therefore I'm not expecting any clubs in our division to be paying anywhere near the asking price for Wilson. If he's sold it would likely be to a Brighton, Burnley or even moneybags Fulham, providing they beat the drop.

Better than anyone imagined? I wouldn't quite go that far. I believe in a better footballing team we would have seen alot more out of him!

I'd love to see him stay mind but unless we get promoted then we have no chance I'm afraid!

Haha! I also think the owner will still be Tan, and nope, I don't know differently, but he will sell some day, and, with nothing to back this up, I really feel he is getting fed up and wants rid.

My thoughts are well documented and I'm hoping any sale will be sooner rather than later i.e. in the Summer.

Recently we were willing to pay £15million for an unknown and untried, the fact that a tragedy unfolded is neither is another problem we have to solve, were willing to pay it. If this club and it’s fans want to go anywhere then we should grab this chance for a quality player who will thrive if as I believe Mick Maccarthy is the manager next year, I would hate to be watching him next year terming defences apart for someone else.

But we were in the premier league then, hoping he (sala rip) could keep us there.no way would we have been paying that in the championship!

Is this the last season of parachute payments
I would hope we tried to buy a proven player rather than let him go
Norwich bournmouth retained most of there team thats why they are where they are
If we get shot of wilson ojo who takes there place someone better on loan
? when are we going to start our rebuild or is it just a case of survival football wolves and leeds villa have moved on granted they had a lot more finances to play with and i am not suggesting we go down the rd of spend spend but surely we have to start and securing wilson and keeping moore for next season is surely minimum
