Well, that's five games now without new signing Jonny Willia

Tue Feb 16, 2021 7:40 pm

Well, that's five games now without new signing Jonny Williams. How bad was that kick on the back of the knee?!

Not even in the squad.

Maybe Charlton could not wait to move him on??

Averages 14 games a season incl sub, in the last 10 years.

100% Williams must not be kept on next season.

A good job his wages in total to the end of the season was £50,000.

If we had believed media Wales a £200,000 signing plus wages  I’m sure the Committee would of taken another hiding for them agreeing another bad, costly signing.

That’s why I put out on here that the transfer fees in the media are truly exaggerated, because they 100% are.

I think Big Mick, is hoping to get 5-10 games from Williams by the end of the season :thumbright:

Paul, yes def NO for next year.

Would love to know???

But he is very very injury prone and weve had to many of them type players.

And we could have done with him tonight judging by the first half.

To think I seen some posts on Facebook comparing him to iniesta. I knew when we signed him he be out more than in we always seem to sign consistent injury prone players that come here and nothing changes, the stats are there in black and white before we sign them. Do the club never learn, stay clear of them no matter who they are i say.

Squad Game - Give Jonny more time .... What's the rush when we are unbeaten under Mick ;)

Tony, I'm not bothered if he ever plays, but he is still injured and has been for every game.

I just dont want him here next season.

Sorry I disagree. When he pulls the CCFC shirt on and puts in a shift then judge him, Until that happens I'm 100% happy with signing him. Name any player who could do a job at this level we could have signed. When he gets the winner in the playoffs you'll all be delerious. Calm down let him get fit and whatch te magic with Wilson and Moore. Come on City. :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Wow! What's little Jonny done to upset you?
Not exactly his fault that someone kicked him in the knee in training. Give the lad a chance. If he scores and creates goals then he'll be a bargain. Hardly a gamble for what we're paying him.

I don't think Annis believes he isn't a bargain,in fact has said as much when wol posted b@locks about what we were supposed to be paying! But I agree, when fit jonnie Williams can be an asset, but therein lies the problem,he struggles to stay fit for long enough, yes he was injured by one of our own this time, not his fault at all, it's like me,if he gets his chance, I hope he tears it up for us, it's just a little frustrating we keep signing known injury prone players.we don't dislike the boy, just glad he is on a short term deal for now, and he doesn't have long to impress for a new deal. :old: :bluebird:

Good OP there... :ayatollah:

I feel the opportunity to take a player the manager trusts was too good to miss and if he gets the 5 to 10 games mentioned (above) then he could prove excellent value for money given the figures mentioned

I think it’s pretty unfair to be saying we want a player gone at the end of the season when he hasn’t yet played.

There’s not many people on here that would say the same about Tomlin yet we’ve never had a full season out of him in all the time he’s been here and he’s 32 and Williams only 27, and Tomlin cost £2m and is on a hefty wage.

If Williams doesn’t get fit or can’t make a decent contribution by the end of the season fair enough, get rid of him or put him on a contract mainly based on appearances. But let’s give him a chance, he’s cheap and wanted to come here so he needs time to prove himself.

Is Williams better value for money than the unfortunate Vassell
