JOSH MURPHY:
“Mick McCarthy has galvanised the team.”
"Brought everyone closer, everyone is playing with a smile on their face. Just going into the dressing room after a game and after his talk, the vibe and the buzz of the players. It just feels good. He's brought us together well, and we just need to keep that going."

A clear indicator of what we believed towards the end of Neil Harris tenure i.e. he lost the team

I was happy with MM’s appointment as manager on the basis that it was until the end of the season only, thus providing stability. Based on the rejuvenated performances of individuals and the team in general so far, how wrong I was.
He has made watching Cardiff City more enjoyable. The way we used an high intensity power play (got the terminology off an Ipswich Town Youth coach many years ago, so nicked it) to defend from the front in numbers at times, but also allowed Coventry the ball in their own half on other occasions to recuperate energy, was well balanced. The hunting in packs mentality is much better than watching Harry Wilson on his own trying to get the ball back.
The downside to MM is that my eagerness to get back to the stadium has now force multiplied.

This is really encouraging to hear. It shows the importance of having and effective manager like MMC and long may it continue.

"Lost the dressing room". No wonder he was sacked.

That's a bit like the manager who said
"Some of my players need a kick up the beside; others need a hand..."We knew what he really meant...!

Fair play to MM he has done more in the first 5 games than most would have expected.Trouble is now the expectation has grown and so will the pressure but I think he will be up to it.
If as expected he gets an extended contract it will be interesting transfer window with the loan’s going back and with a strong possibility of losing Moore to a big bid.
As we’ve seen with Harris.a great first half of your Cardiff City managers job doesn’t guarantee future success.
Well done and good luck Big Mick

IF he keeps this up in terms of moral and performance - then he has 100% earned the right to take the team forward over the next few years. Always reward success no matter what, keeps everyone on their toes. Hopefully MM has engendered at atmosphere where players and kids from the U23 are knocking his door asking what about me etc.
There is little point being in the under23s unless you are in and around the first team squad. Better doing what NG did and drop a league just so you get first team experience. Better to have live matches under your belt than endless friendlies.
