If he came from Milton Keynes dons for a million the jury would be out, but because his parent club is Liverpool we feel there is more to come.
They are fattening him up for a summer sale and mark their assets high, that's why Wilson is here

OJo has actually contributed more goals (5) and Assists (6) than Wilson goals (3) and Assists (7) this season.
Don't get me wrong we can all see Wilson is definitely the more gifted of the 2 but the stats don't lie these 2 and Moore are our best attacking threat.
Ojo seems rejuvenated under Big Mick and if he carries on this form I'd definitely like to see him stay.
Big chance for Murphy Saturday if Ojo is injured. I get what you're saying about Murphy, he also seems rejuvenated under Mick and has looked dangerous when coming on against Barnsley and Rotherham.
The problem is with him he's had chance after chance to hold down a place in the side and he doesn't take it.
All wingers will go through a dry spell and have days where they can't beat a man but you have to put the work in.
That's where Murphy let's himself down badly for me, if he's having a bad day he doesn't want to know and you might aswell take him off. Our previous managers have lost patience with him and you can see why.

Agreed.
Ojo is delivering and worth signing depending on the fee. We wouldn't be able to afford Wilson, unfortunately, but Ojo may come into our bracket.
If Murphy comes good, great. But I just can't see it happening.

Wilson will not want to sign for a mid-table Championship club who have just sold their centre forward on your logicWilson will go for £12-15m based on last summer's bids and we won't get that for Moore unless he wins the Euros golden boot !!
There are 3 Premiership clubs interested in Wilson already !!
I hope you're right and I'm wrong but can't see it happening.

I think he has downed tools and sulked when he never got his move after we were relegated like Decova-Reid and clubs like ours are really powerless when this happens. Let's be honest if he leaves after four years he is a very rich young man and we probably have wasted 11 million-plus salary.
Back to Ojo. I haven't seen flashes of brilliance that you get with Wilson and occasionally with Josh. He has great close control and when Wilson beautifully put him through on Tuesday I was fairly confident he would despatch it as he is technically very good.
It's just what is his position. He reminds me of Jay Emmanuel Thomas & Ameobi, a great skill set but physically I don't see where he is best suited. I don't see him as a winger and if he is a 10 is he a top-end Championship 10 ? Perhaps he follows Blakey and ends up a striker.
I thought this was his last season with Liverpool but when i looked at transfermarket.com it said 2023, so Liverpool will want a decent fee and i doubt he is on a poor salary as a Liverpool U23 player.
I just don't see it, but i like raw speed on both flanks rather than silky skill (rather both).
School ground rules. When all the players line up against a wall who would you pick, Ojo or NML ?

Ojo has played 28 games for us, scored 7 goals and 5 assists. That's an excellent record at this level and whilst stats don't tell the whole story it's pretty indicative of his influence on the team. In addition his work rate is high and he has made plenty of defensive interventions which is why he is well worth his regular place in the team.
On the question of NML or Ojo, if NML was fit then I would accept he can have a massive impact. But if you look at the stats for the last three league seasons he played 87 games, scored just 13 goals and 10 assists which is way down on what Ojo is doing right now.
Add to that the fact that NML missed whole rafts of games in those seasons due to injury I would say that Ojo represents better value for money and, at the moment, is having more of a direct impact on the team than NML did so Ojo gets my vote.

little chance of signing either... last 3 signings were in expensive , lots of talk about pushing academy players and a new manager that spent less in 12 transfer windows combined than we normally do in one...its a change of plan / direction ...

I don’t think Liverpool would expect much for Ojo.
