Can't argue with that team.

Other than Phillips for Smithies, it's the same team that started in the win at the weekend.

Not too worried about the goalkeeper, I think Dillon Phillips is also a very good goalkeeper at this level.

That's why it was crucial that we brought in back-up goalkeeper of good standard last summer.

Good team selection in my opinion.

Well it appears Alex Smithies' illness from the weekend is bad enough to keep him out of this one, with Dillon Phillips named to start his first Championship game for the Bluebirds.

Young George Ratcliffe will provide the back-up option on the bench.

Jonny Williams is also not fit enough to make his City debut, that kick on the knee last Friday has now kept him out for two games. Let's hope it is no more than that.

The outfield players are unchanged from the win over Bristol City on Saturday and, it must be said, they have earned that. It was comfortably the best performance under the new manager and Mick McCarthy will hope they build on that this evening.

Good to see Ciaron Brown named on the bench for City after the defender impressed during his most recent loan spell up at Livingston this term.

Max Watters named on the bench once again.

Is Ciaron Brown still classed as an academy player he is 23 and has spent the last three seasons at Livingston. Can you still be academy player at 23?

To be honest I don't know what counts as an academy player.

I still count Mark Harris as an academy player really.

Maybe we need to stop kicking the crap out of our own players during training.
