Rubin colwill looks like a brilliant player. Only 18 but his quality stood out in that game. Hopefully has a bright future for us and Wales.

Tremendous prospect, James Waite also was beating players one on one with ease as well

Yes I have to agree. I know we were playing 10 men for a long period in the game but plenty of positives. The two you mentioned did really catch the eye. Fingers crossed for some home grown talent to finally come through.

Rubin Colwill looks an excellent prospect seen him play about 4/5 times.
Every time he stood out hope to see him play sometime this year in first team gaining more experience the lad can go all the way.

Brilliant prospect.

Since Warnock and his staff left the club the approach at U18 and U23 level is much more consistent. It was very disruptive when the team sheet would change so often and filled with three or four 'trialists', and some of the youngsters you now see developing well were often not even in the squad. Getting in trialists is fine but surely that is something that happens in the summer/pre season or if it does happen in a season it should not be done at the expense of our young talent.

So the consistency has really helped the team this season build on a good team spirit and ethos and since November the performances and results have been improving a lot.

I would say that there are around 5 or 6 players who consistently impress now.

That's even more impressive when you consider that our U23 team has an average age of 19.

As a side note this also shows the underdevelopment of the U23s over recent years at the club.. for fun look at the squad ages of city players at the end of 19/20 seasons had only ONE regular senior squad player under 25 (Murphy) - maybe Harris but he wasn't regular until this season. The gap was startling but thankfully we seem to be slowly moving in the right direction with the signings of Phillips, Ng, Watters and the loan signings of Ojo and Wilson.

Kudos also to the club for also streaming these games live.
