Colchester U23's will be fielding mostly 17,18 & 19 year olds
The Young U's are currently bottom of this league.
Tuesday 9th February 2021
The young U's side lead by Dave Huzzey and Richard Hall will be on the road this week looking for a win at Cardiff City.
Last week's game against Swansea City was postponed due to the Swans being unable to complete the fixture, meaning the U's have now not had a game for a couple of weeks.
This afternoon though, they will be back in action when they take on Cardiff City, who are the team directly above them in the Professional Development League.
Colchester United currently sit in eighth place, with twelve points, while today's opponents are in seventh with thirteen. It will be seen as an opportunity for the U's who have drawn their last two games.

It’s free for anyone.
Thanks Paul; many, including me, won't have realised that...

You’re Welcome Chris.
They play some tidy passing football to be fair.
I think the first team squad should be made to stand on the touch line and watch.

Finishes 4 1 but could have been many more if we had been a bit more clinical

Another good game of football from the boys.
I would be a happy chappy if the first team played football as good as the under 23 side.
Every player worked hard ,there passing was a delight to watch.
If a few of these boys don’t get in first team in next 18 months we are doing something wrong as they all look capable of being pro footballers if they get good coaching.
