Rotherham game possibly a doubt

Looking at the forecast, not sure if they have under soil heating but their ground does water log, not certain this game will go on, hope it does because we are starting to improve.

They don't have undersoil heating.

They have arguably the best groundsman in the country, in Dave Fellowes who was groundsman at Fulham before he went to Rotherham.

In previous seasons, matches would be more likely to be postponed mainly due to the safety of fans getting to the stadium on icy pavements but obviously that's not an issue at the moment.

Hopefully all will be OK.

They had very cold weather up there this weekend as well, but did enough to get the game to go ahead.

Yeah mate of mine sent the weather forecast for up their and it doesn’t look great as they have basic facilities and a few games including against us for bad weather. Will be leaving buying the stream until half an hour before. Hopefully it’s on

On their forum a poster says that the sun is out atm up there so he’s very hopeful. He also says that covers covering the pitch have worked under similar positions in the past but it depends on if / the amounts of snow falling later.

The conditions are nowhere near as bad as the last fixture cancellation and the pitch is apparently holding up well under the covers, which will be left on until as late as possible

Yeah, its a bit cold but there is a slight breeze to clear any remaining water on the ground.

...and apparently they have sheets on ground there so should be ok.
