Lee Peltier given away on a free???

Pelts use to train in Santa Ponsa, he loved it at Cardiff, no big head, gave his all and reliable l, solid performer.

Started today for WBA v Spurs today .

How can we keep given these players away, player after player???

He was quite injury prone if I recall? Missed out big chunks of multiple seasons a few times. He also fell out of favour with Warnock and wasn't being played so I imagine either he or the club decided a move would be best for him. At the time he left was RB a position that needed another player? We already had Bacuna, Jazz, even Paterson if needed. Sanderson was also signed in the same window Peltier left.

He's hardly been prolific at WBA either only 5 appearances in over a year at the club, 2 in the League Cup and only 3 in the Premier League, one of those being a 4 minute cameo. In the 2 full games he's played they've lost 5-0 and 2-0.

Injury prone, yes had his fair share, but just look at all the players we continue to sign and pay for and they also seem to be injury prone but more costly.

And we signed Jazz Richards cost us a fortune , never even played quarter as many games as Pelts and in higher wages.

That's fair that we've since signed players that are also injury prone but at the time of Peltier leaving we had Bacuna, Jazz, Paterson and Sanderson all able to play RB. Even if you don't include Paterson who rarely played there but could, that's still 4 right backs including Peltier
.
His contract was up at the end of the season anyway so we wouldn't have gotten any money for him regardless unless he renewed.

With everything combined, 4 or 5 right backs in the team, out of favour with the manager, injury prone and contract expiring in 6 months. Loaning him to WBA to save some money before his contract expired is the correct move in my opinion.

Didnt he ask for more money when he wasnt in the team?
I thought Peltier was a good solid full back, but at the time i felt it was right for him to move on. The fact we went ages without proper cover at RB was mind boggling though
