Typical Jonny

Mick McCarthy’s words about Williams getting a knock in training and missing the Brizzle game.

That’s gotta be as bad as anything Harris said this year? Lol.

At least we have an honest manager.

Neil, its expected from Jonny Williams in his 10 yrs he averages about 14 games a season incl sub.

Thats why Williams was free and £50,000 total wages for 3 months.

As long as we dont sign Williams for next season, then not a problem.

Big Micks, took a small gamble with no money at his disposal, so it still could pay off :bluebird:

It’s a strange one.

Thankfully we haven’t committed to a long term deal for Joniesta.

Sometimes it not about what a player contributes on the field. They can have a positive effect on a group of players just by their personality, work ethic and the likes.

Johnie Williams is clearly a popular guy and maybe MM saw value in bringing his positivity to a generally talented group of players, who frankly had started to sulk and become disinterested under NH. You could see that by the way many in the team were walking around the pitch; no effort.

One thing that stood out for me yesterday, was seeing the whole team chasing back and across. Pressure on the ball as a unit.

Not hard really. But we had lost it.

Good luck to JW. Strikes me he would remain happy and upbeat even if he never managed to get on the pitch. And added value to the group anyway.....

We don’t need to pay someone to make the dressing happier , that’s why we have a management team :thumbright: :bluebird:

Let’s be honest you pay peanuts , well we paid zero and wages very low so you get Jonny Williams
