He got injured in training didn’t you read that?? So he was fit and ready, it’s hardly his fault one of our players crocked him

Three words that we'll become quite familiar with over the next few months.
It would be fantastic if he played so well consistently for the rest of the season that he earns a new contract for next season.
On the other hand if he is unable to make any useful contribution due to injury or otherwise I really hope the club don't offer a contract extension at the end of the season.
