Even better before the seating

Was thinking about that photo the other day... it may have been the 1957 Arsenal game(58,000), and I remember reading somewhere that the Bob held 35,000.. Grange held 18,000. I’d always thought the Bob held 24,000.. not sure.
Used to love the Bob late 70’s.. up the back as the away specials turned up used to get everyone going.. by the mid-80s it was huge, but not many on it. Funny the same people always took the same spot..great days

Not sure when this photo is from mate,but Defford later than 1957.there is an electronic board on display,and the fashion is a good deal later than 50's. Brilliant photo nonetheless, spent many of my (very) younger days glued to that fence!! oh for the old days en
