To me MM pre match press conference was read just like a script left by the board.

Couldn't get a striker in but Glatzel had to go. We should be looking up. We got a good squad. Had a decent transfer window (?).

I really hope the youngsters do well and have a fantastic career, but why do they impress MM, but never impressed Harris or Warnock.

I dont/didn't see MM as a yes man, but I look at this press conference with raised eyebrows.

Sorry, but I love Cardiff City. I don't like how it is being led from the top down.

I like you will behind Big Mick and give him 12 games :thumbright:

He was desperate for a job to prove himself again.

He agreed Accademy players had to feature in every match day squad .

He has agreed to no money signings and had to get rid of a couple of players .

Def not the Mick from years ago.

Glatzel massive mistake in my opinion, letting him go, No back, madness.

Please! He has been here two weeks, let him and the team settle before having a pop!!

We get your feelings about the hierarchy honest, and thats fine, but MM? Surely not yet?

I don’t understand why no money signings and putting faith in academy players means this def isn’t the Mick from years ago? Could you clarify Annis?

MM has never been a big spender, in his 6 years at Ipswich his most expensive signing was less than £1.1 million, in his 6 years there that was his only >£1m transfer. Even at Wolves he only spent big once they reached the Premier League and even then they hardly splashed the cash compared to some teams, £7.5m was his most expensive signing and he only made 3 purchases higher than £6m. All the rest were £3m or under.

He also arrived halfway through the January window, which most teams usually don’t spend big sums. Coupled with the fact the large financial hit the pandemic has caused all clubs I think it’s completely understandable why MM didn’t spend much this window.

Losing Glatzel was a mistake without getting a back up striker but not letting MM spend is excusable.

your right about him not spending much at Ipswich
but they paid us a million pounds for Emyr Huws mate...
and the Wolves fees really need to have where the transfer market was at the time taken into account.

I do agree about Glatzel  MM says he has no worries about playing watters or Harris, but what else can he say now the Glatzel move has happened? We will know soon enough, and I really hope it doesn't bite us on the arse. :old: :bluebird:

Possible scripted but what did we expect?

Personally I feel we are lucky to get an experienced manager in like MM. I mean what manager worth his salt would take on such a task like us who have no intention of investing, a determination to continue cutting our cloth and we are only going to give you 6 months to sort out the crap? He has no choice but to play our youth, perhaps had no choice to get rid of Glatzel and has no choice but to work with the crap we have.

MM most likely sees the 6 months as a challenge but something tells me when we come to the end of it he will be saying "f**K this I'm out of here".

Well even Big Mick himself says these Accademy players are not ready for a relegation fight, so you have it straight if the manager himself.
If Big Mick brings the right players in then I don’t care if he spends less than peanuts, fingers crossed for Jonny Williams.

What did did he achieve at Ipswich?

Don’t forget I am fully behind Big Mick for the first 12 games.

Bug Mick was given the job on condition a number of academy players are in every match day squad .

It’s unbelievable that we are virtually in a relegation battle for a club with the 5th biggest income outside the Premier League.

Glatzel was to save money, let’s hope it does not cost us more in the long run.

Having agreed to having academy players in match day squads. I guess it's just the same as anyone who just wants a job regardless of how bonkers you're bosses are :laughing6:

MM just happy to have a job and he pretty much gave that vibe in his 1st public interview. 'If it goes well, ill get a new contract, if it doesnt so be it.' Wasn't the most confident of interviews that he'd do well. Knowing the 'restrictions' he's working under

That’s exactly what happened Thomas .

I'm really not trying to have a go at MM, just am surprised that he has allowed to happen what has happened at the club.

Baked, I think I was trying to say what you said, but you put it so much better!

Indeed who would take a job with such restrictions as ours? I'll still say hats off and support him but for three months what has he got to lose? " I had a crackpot owner, who gave me nothing, told me who to play, sold everything I needed, but at least I got 3 months salary "

I guess I'd play along too!

Still desperate for a win today. It's so needed to lift the spirits of everyone.

Jonny,

I think Big is no longer Big Mick, I think as said previously he was just happy to get a job again and has agreed to everything the famous Committee are telling him.

I will judge Mick on the pitch, after 12 games we will know where we are with him :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Avoid relegation.
