Jamie Paterson on facing Flinty and Pack tomorrow

They're good mates of mine. I still talk to them most days really. Sometimes you do meet good friends in football, others you don't really talk to as much but I've kept in touch with them a lot. Obviously I haven't spoken to them about the game, and I haven't really talked to them yesterday or today as much as I usually would but we've had a little bit of banter back and forth. All three of us are experienced pros now and we know how it works. Once you cross the line you don't even realise they're your mates. I'll be trying to get one over them for sure.

JP on Championship and going for the top six

Looking through the league, I don't think Brentford played well at all and I'm not sure they'll be happy and their fans will be delighted with their performance. It's hard to get that run of consistent performances with injuries and fatigue from the players. You look at the pitches at the moment and they are poor. You see Brentford's the other day and that was a poor pitch. Derby's was probably the worst I've seen for many a year. That's from playing loads of games.

That affects the way that you play and how you're going to attack that game: play on the floor or go that bit more direct. Sometimes the pitch dictates that for you. There are so many things to contend with. Maybe the fans and other people don't see that. It's been difficult. But we're lucky to be in every day playing and doing what we can to try and make the fans happy.

I’m hoping neither Flinty or Pack are even playing tomorrow :laughing6:

was looking this week at which players had the best and worse win percentages for us when they started last year...both were in the bottom 6...
