20% Covid Shield Deposit

I had an e-mail from Cardiff City yesterday re a Ticket Office Credit Update. When I clicked on the "Read more" link it took me through to the Club website where it displayed individual ticketing accounts information following the conclusion of the current 2020/21 campaign.
I was intrigued to see the last bullet which read" Supporters who paid a 20% Covid Shield Deposit to hold their seat for 2021/22 will have their account credited with the full value of their deposit. This credit will be eligible for use towards a 2021/22 Season Ticket".
Has anyone on here paid this 20% Covid Shield Deposit? - I never knew this offer existed

The first I heard of it , was in that email .

I dont blame the club for trying to raise some money even if just to pay the staff wages.
Ive been out of work since May last year - I dont quality for any benefits as I was classed as a company director - I used to run my own company. No nothing for me - other than universal credit - at £70 I wont bother with the hassle. Ive cashed in some savings and living off that until things pick up.
So my ST was not renewed and wont be until Im earning money again

It was part of the deal when renuing st obviously some must have missed it ...it basically meant if you didn't want to buy st or didnt want refund this allowed you to keep your seat the next season fans allowed in stadium... they are using it to credit new st..... presume if dont want st they will refund money paid..

To be fair when they brought out the deals there was lots of confusion regarding how things were done on clubs website so not surprised people missed covid deal as confusing as the city tv voucher thing....
