“ Meeting last night “

Hi Annis ,

Yes you highlighted some of the points on the agenda of last nights meeting with the SLO and some head of departments, and like you said a lot more relaxed than the meeting with Mehmet Dalman, but in my opinion a better meeting because things said last night we can see happening and if they don't we can bring it up again...things supporters really can have a say in which is not always the case, even if it is only where the flags are placed in the CCS or if the shop can stock special fund raising shirts for Sol Bamba or about what the plans are to get fans back to the CCS ...they may seem small things and they are in the big scheme of things ofcourse when you hear of the 3 legal cases, but we are supporters reps, volunteers, fans thats all, same as everyone else and thousands of season ticket holders can't obviouly attend so a small number of fands groups do, although if someone would like to attend the next one I am sure some can be added, just have to be careful of numbers.These meetings can often be boring or talk about issues some may not be interested in , they are not everyones cup of tea for sure, although Neil Mac was there last night as an example of fans attending not connected to fans organisations.

The point I was trying to make is that the FSA which I am one of the 3 the Championship network representative for, always refer to the EFL reg 118.1 and 118.11 because we fought so hard to get it included and its so important to clubs who get very little if any meetings with their clubs, unlike us who have had 3 already since January :D

Basically this small, but important sub section of the EFL regulations says that

118.1 Clubs shall hold at least two meetings/fans forums per Season to which its supporters (or representatives) are to be invited in order to discuss significant issues relating to the Club. The framework for these meetings shall be documented in the Club’s customer charter, but are subject to the following minimum criteria:

118.1.1 Clubs must be represented by the Club’s majority owner, board director(s) or other senior executive(s);

This is fine and we fully support this,but sometimes you can have 4 meetings with these (Club’s majority owner, board director(s) or other senior executive(s);) in a year and they are not as useful to us as the meeting we had last night without them present.So different sorts of meetings suit different clubs if you know what I mean

Saying all of that we have complied with the regs because we have had a meeting with Mehmet Dalman and Steve Borley attending and no doubt we will get a second similar meeting before the end of the season, but like I said , although these are very important and involve a lot of serious governance issues that need addressing, Keith Morgan and the trust are usually best placed to deal with these ,worrying stuff like the Hammam, Issac and Sala cases, last nights type of meeting usually proves to be more useful in getting stuff done for the fans and something we can have an input and actually affect in some way, unlike the court cases where fans are helpless.

The full minutes with action points I will put on here when I get them and we can all see if the things brought up are dealt with and actions taken.

Sorry if this is a bit of a long winded post just wanted to try to explain how the meetings work.

We also discussed season tickets for next year and the introdution of digital ticketting, we talked about the code of conduct supporters would have to comply with to enter the stadium and the Covid questionaire. I will make sure as many people as possible get to see the minutes that way more fans can be informed and that is something both us and the club want to happen.

lol code of conduct of our supporters.
Over the years on big match days I have witnessed some appalling behaviour by our 'fans'.
Almost legless trying to enter the stadium at 12:30 having been in wetherspoons since 9am
Grown men pissing ion the street everywhere in Canton
And verbal behaviour that I dont want my son to ever hear again - from one supporter who threatened to anally rape the linesman. I was with my son , his school and his mother in the row in front. They never went to another match.

Dont get me wrong - when I get the chance I love going in the canton - the sarcasm and p1ss taking puts a smile on my face, but sometimes certain supporters are just embarrassing and in post times - are a health hazard.
