Jonny Williams
We have to be careful in how far we want to go in praising the qualities of Jonny Williams.
Some are putting him on a very high pedestal and putting the expectations far too high .... making him some kind of a Superman.
This is not fair to the player if he does not rise to those expectations.
Iniesta was one of the greatest midfielders in modern times and with Barcelona . I hope that Jonny is our Joniesta ........ but take it easy ..... we can’t put him under so much weight of expectations. I believe because many fans - me included - are so frustrated with our results that we are clutching on anything that gives us hope. For example - we were all delighted with two draws in our last two games and considered it an achievement ....
2 points from 6 is an improvement but damn it this is still poor form .
If Joniesta was so good - at 27 he would have been playing in the Premiership. I believe that he has a good chance of shining for us - partly because our central midfield players are rather ...... hmm..... not the best.
But please let go of the guy and give him a chance to settle and prove himself first.

Very true, let's be realistic. I feel he may give us some impidus but the other lazy assed b******s need to pull their fingers out.

I thought this myself Annis, let the boy settle before making him out to be a "saviour" of the season.
If he can stay fit,he will offer us a different option in midfield, who have been rather poor to date.I hate it when fans rave about a player, before he has kicked a ball for us,just sets them up for a fall,if things dont go to plan!.

That's whats being a fans all about ?? its a balance I agree but with no crowds to boo when he makes a mistake surely its far easier at moment.
For me all sport is going to find it very hard to come back and have some kind of relevance after the last few years, hope im wrong . But sport is now soulless , Var is shit the Olympics are going to be nonsense because of the usual corruption/gender insanity. I would rather have a shit than watch this fabrication of a human experience of sport.

Current status for this player is more akin to fordfiesta... unreliable due to breakdown.

I believe he will be a success, purely because he is so different to Ralls, Bacuna, Vaulks or Pack.
Ralls & Bacuna/Vaulks are decent enough sitters. The problem all season is playing three of them at the same time. Two is fine. Moore, Murphy Wilson, Williams should be a handful that keeps their back four and defensive midfielders quiet, that in turn allows our sitters more space and time.
We have been too negative all season.

hope your correct... looking purely at stats he creates less than who we have..
but he is a player thats always threatened to be effective without ever being... maybe this is his time...

Decent little player in his day (when fit) but due to injuries he's already past it. He may inject some spark into the midfield but my hopes are not high. Harry Wilson has struggled to do so. So just how good is Lee Tomlin?

Definitely more Ford Fiesta than Inesta but the Ford Fiesta is quite highly regarded in its class these days that why it's Britains best selling car. Think we all expect Williams to be injured a bit but nothing like a Vasslel or Tomlin but what he does give us is a completely different option in midfield. I would expect him rarely to play 90 minutes and to be used as a substitute a lot paticularly when we are behind in a game and these days we are behind in virtually every single game.
Considering we paid virtually nothin a good signing.

the last line.... will be a good signing if his contribution is effective no matter how much or little we paid... plenty of positive vibes about it so maybe this is his time...
