Will Rotherham achieve the great escape?

Before Xmas they looked finished, dead and buried, but since then they have had some remarkable results including a 3nil away win at Boro and just this week 3nil win v Wayne Rooneys Derby County.

For me, we must at least get a draw there, otherwise I believe we really will be dragged in to a relegation battle.

Most on here laughed at the thought of us being dragged in to a relegation battle and called us negative for suggesting it, well, we need pts ASAP, if we are not to be drawn in to it.

its not just Rotherham mate......Wednesday have won 4 out of their last 5 , and of the 8 below us only Wycombe have picked up less points than ourselves since Micks appointment ... im not getting at Mick , just pointing out the strange bottom end form...
when Mick arrived it looked like we had a bit of a cushion.. since his appointment.. Shef Weds, Rotherham and Derby have each picked up 6 points... Forest and Coventry ..4 points......QPR..3 poiints , Brum same as ourselves..2 points...and Wycombe 1 point...either we need to start winning or that bunch sort their heads out and go back to being shit...

Michael, they are all closing in on us, yet many call us negative for saying it and Mr Shed says we are not fans, for me they need to open their eyes and be realistic and see what’s happening.

Skid I have to admit that it's closer than I originally thought. Makes me wonder why Harris was kept on so long. No doubt to save compensation but that will be a drop in the ocean compared to loss in revenue if we do slip into division 1

Everyone should wake up and smell the coffee. Forget the 'told you so'. By everyone, I mean everyone connected to the club.

For me, Rotherham, even given for the amount of games left, is a must win, as it will give momentum to one team and completely demoralise the other.

Massive 6 pointer, and the Coventry game soon after.

Earlier in the season I never thought we would be in a relegation fight but following our recent performances we are right in it.
If we don't start getting wins then it's Division 1 without a doubt.
Can't see us getting anything at Bristol and will be hard pushed to get a point at improving Rotherham.
Pessimistic but true.

After watching the Worzels last night I think Saturday will be tough...unless Brentfort knackered them out :thumbright:
I really do expect us to beat Rotherham but it's the Championship so who knows

Definitely have that look of a team sleep walking to oblivion.

When they realise the danger it maybe too late.

mate , ordinarily youd be correct with most of those clubs picking up a point a game . this year there seem to be clubs down there who havent been punching their weight who are now finding form... Harris should have gone after the Coventry game at which point we had played 5 of the bottom 6 and managed to get 2 points off them... i think im right in saying at that point 9 points from those 5 would have put us in the play off zone...

Totally agree about Harris having to go, but seriously, after the Coventry game we got 15 points from 6 games!

JB's up and us down seems like a nightmare scenario. The piss taking would be hard to stomach, plus them staying up (they have a history of that) and us staying down is what nightmares are made of. :o

Personally I think we will be ok, ut this is the championship, where anyone csn beat anyone on their day!!

The losing streak has been stopped, although draws are not what we need right now.

Not bothered about ANY other team, what will be will be,if the jacks go up,then just dont bite, when the board becomes infested with rats!!

ONWARDS AND UPWARDS C'MON CITY!!!!

we probably need to win 7 with a draw or 2..... trouble is it was 7 out of 27...its now 7 out of 20

Re: ' Rotherham '

I don't if many people laughed at those who said we could be dragged into a relegation battle, but it's been a fact for a while now. The simple reason is that we are not winning games and until that changes we're dropping further behind. I've said before that we keep reading about how many points we are off the play offs, but we are not far enough above the drop zone for my liking. Relegation would be a disaster.

Re: ' Rotherham '

Jumping the gun a bit to say we're in a relegation battle could get dragged in but these 6 points and 5 teams between us.
We still have to play 5 of the bottom 7 at home so plenty of potential wins available.
No doubt if we put a decent run together some would talk about the playoffs. Imo where midtable and will remain midtable

hardly jumping the gun..
its 5 points...and if we we 5 points behind Bournemouth i think most of us would think we were in a promotion battle...

Ye people get carried away and the big difference between 5 points at the top and bottom of the league is sides at the bottom don't win many games. Yes Rotherham are on a good run but that includes beat Derby also below us 3-0 twice one or two will go on a good run but not 5/6.
That said we do need to pick up a win soon

well at the moment inly wycombe are in worse form than we are out of the clubs below us ..think you need to look at the form tables... we really need a win mate...
