“ Championship Club Sacks Manager “

Wed Feb 03, 2021 5:33 pm

Championship club Bournemouth have sacked manager Jason Tindall, who was in charge for just six months.

The decision was taken after Tuesday's 2-1 home defeat by Sheffield Wednesday , with the team sixth in the table.

Former Cherries player and assistant boss Tindall was appointed in August following the departure of Eddie Howe.

"We feel a change is needed now to give the club the best possible chance of achieving the goals clearly set out last summer," said a club statement.

Former Middlesbrough boss Jonathan Woodgate - who only joined Bournemouth as first-team coach on Monday - will be in caretaker charge for their game against Birmingham on Saturday.

The club said they wanted to confirm a new permanent manager "as swiftly as possible".

Not at all surprised.

With their squad, they should have been top two.

That’s what the board should have done in October with Harris.
