The media slate Millwall. But they should be totally applauded for this and this Saturday every UK club should follow in their example :thumbright:

Pathetic is what it is. Applauding people not involved with the club, linking arms the whole show. Get on with the game.

It was actually just a quote from someone else on here with kneeling changed to applauding. It's hypocritical to say that they should get on with the game but then want a minutes applause for this.

Correct me if I'm wrong but he wasn't a millwall fan. There were loads of people who did similar things before and after him, will millwall be applauding when they pass away?

Wow Josh, you are such a racist young man.

Sir Tom has just passed away RIP and done more for our country than these so called Blm groups who just cause divide., you need to get your life in order and sort yourself out.

BLM leader Josh is off again and on a thread thats respecting Captain Tom.

Josh you should be ashamed of yourself.

No reason that both can't be done, involving clubs where the players wish to take the knee. If the players don't want to take the knee, then they shouldn't.

But I was surprised and disappointed there was not a minutes silence or a minutes applause for Captain Sir Tom Moore at games last night. Hopefully that will change for the weekend's games.

I'm racist because I questioned why millwall did applauded someone with no links at all to them. Makes sense.

A person down my street passed away early in the pandemic and they raised loads for charity. Why didn't mk dons or Middlesbrough do a minutes applause for her (even though she had no interest in football)? Is that racist as well?

You son, have absolutely no moral compass, this is a man who at the age of 100 raised more for charity in one event, than probably all of us put together,in our lifetimes!!

You need a good "talking" to, to bring you around!

F@cking embarrassing knob!!

Vera Lynn has a charity and raised money for that and others
Bobby ball was an ambassador and raised money for charity
As did Sean connery.
Etc, etc

Didn't see you call for a minutes applause for any of them.
Maybe you should have a "talk" with your moral compass.

Sad thing is if Captain Tom had been black Josh would have no issue with Millwall honouring him. What a corrosive influence identity politics is having on our country. 4,000 miles away A violent career criminal, off his tits on Class As, who held a loaded gun against a pregnant woman’s stomach. Is arrested while trying to pass snide currency then dies while being restrained, is canonised by media, celebrities, football authorities and every other pseudo socialist. Josh fine with that. Old guy who served our country raises £32m for charity during the worst health crisis in a century, Josh no likey, weird mixed up boy.

Sadly people like Joosh arnt alone as we can see from above link. What is the matter with these people, just looking for divisive elements all the time, the guy raised money to help all regardless of colour, religion etc, and the ones clapping were also of all different sectors of communities. For god sake it was in appreciation of what he did for all! Some sad people amongst us for sure.

Why don't we do a minutes applause for this woman: https://www.inyourarea.co.uk/news/life- ... -to-covid/? Is she less worthy?

would that make you happy ? or would that make you moan too...
ffs Tom set out to struggle around his garden a few times to try to raise a grand , and the idea of this fella making an effort struck the hearts of millions and therefore he raised millions ... he did not campaign to be a celebrity it just happened... whats not to like
maybe you should try it yourself josh ... some real nice gardens in New Zealand..

There are thousands of unsung heroes in this country, Capt Tom for various reasons caught the nation’s imagination and his efforts were recognised, May not be entirely fair but that’s life. Do you think Capt Tom is less deserving of recognition than George Floyd?

Shall we not bring whataboutery into this thread? Ignore the negative comments. Sir Tom Moore raised £33 million for the NHS and served in this country's forces. He was a legend! RIP.

Re: “ SO TRUE & SO SAD / BUT WELL DONE MILLWALL “

Fri Feb 05, 2021 10:51 pm

If these overpaid footballers want to kneel then in truth,im past caring to be honest. A war hero raises 33 million for the NHS, during a pandemic and rightfully catches the public's attention. I thought it was a thoughtful genuine and moving tribute by Millwall FC. I cant even think of words to describe the people who have been slating Sir Tom. They just hate Great Britain and everything associated with the term.
Very Sad

Why are people comparing his death with the BLM stance? His death and making a stand against racism are two different things surely.
I tell you what why don't we just ban everything.
Rascim ignore
Deaths ignore
Poppy day ignore
Cancer days ignore
Let's go the full hog so people dont start crying over everything.
Pathetic
