He was the start of the CCFC striker curse !!!!

Up to then, we had done quite well

Always remember him scoring that penalty for us against Hull for his 1st appearance due to a season long injury. Decent player under rated for us in my opinion. But liked him nonetheless. Good luck to him at Newport. :ayatollah:

Remember being at Millwall when he got injured and the whole stadium could hear the sound when he got injured and it instantly felt left it could be a definitive moment in his career.

He's never really recovered from it.

Hope he does well at Newport.

I was very excited when he signed, he had done well at previous clubs and I genuinely think he would have done well for us if he hadn't had the unfortunate injury.

Although we wouldn't have signed Campbell if Maynard was fit!

I also remember I was excited for Ole's first game in charge against Blackburn away and he played 3 upfront ; Maynard, Jones - and either Le Fondre (who had also done very well for Reading) or Macheda - but that didn't end well obviously

I've got to stop getting excited about us cause it never works out well

Just scored for Newport to give them the lead, even though they've had a player sent off
