Neil Warnock's Middlesbrough could turn their attentions to

Sun Jan 31, 2021 6:56 pm

Neil Warnock's Middlesbrough could turn their attentions to Cardiff's Robert Glatzel should they fail to land their main target, Bristol City's Famara Diedhiou, according to our colleagues in the capital.

Any move from Boro for Glatzel would free up the Bluebirds to make a play for Rhodes, with the Owls admitting that he faces an uncertain future in Yorkshire.

Caretaker boss Neil Thompson explained the situation to Yorkshire Live this week: "Jordan has obviously been out a little while and because of the situation with the ice last week, we need people to get a full week's training.

Id be dissapointed if this were true tbh.I rate glatzel personally, we just dont play the sort of on the floor footy that would suit him far more, and Rhodes been out a while? Injured,or just unable to get in team? Wouldnt mind diedhiou though! So its a no from me.

I’m a glatzel fan as well rather we kept him, and see if MM can find a way to get the best from him.

If we bring in Jordan Rhodes or any other striker, let Glatzel go. We would then have a few options in that position - new striker, Moore, Mark Harris and Watters. As well as any that may come through from the development squad.

Glatzel will never succeed in this team because he doesn't suit the way we play and never has.

People keep on saying we should keep faith in him but he's had a lot of chances to prove he can do well for us and hasn't taken them.

He will face exactly the same problem if he goes to Middlesbrough while they're playing Warnock's style of football.

So it feels like a strange target for them if this is true.

Surprised Warnock is not going for our best striker in Kieffer Moore. Never felt at home with us i feel so maybe a change in scenery will help him. Personally I wish we never got rid of Zohore he was getting to his best with us and score bags of goals for us.

Moore has scored 10 goals this season

Zohore was awful and lazy. He had one little purple patch thats it.

Agree.

Bizarre comment from that poster. But that's not a first.
