Sat Jan 30, 2021 8:55 pm

Swansea City have had a bid accepted for Derby County attacker Morgan Whittaker.

The England Under-20 international is set to move to the Liberty Stadium after a fee was accepted by the Rams, believed to be around the £700,000 mark.

Another England under 23 player shouldn't they be renamed England under 23s? All good signings wish we could do same get in youngsters with lots to prove.

Well, they do fly the 'Union Jack' at the Library...

An astute buy, if they get him and it seems they are pushing for the 'automatic' spots

Don't blame them, as they are in a great position right now and in (some) control of their own destiny

I don't know the finances of the Swans but I can only assume that failure to land promotion will leave them in a similar position to ourselves in as much as their 'parachute payments' stop this season and that will be a big blow

If their parachute payments.ts end this season havent we got one more left? their finances are probably borderline they certainly cannot afford to much in way of fees hence 5 or so loans every season and selling off best players .... but cannot fault their system of replacements either manager or players ! Going to be interesting at end season as only 3 can be promoted and looking like Norwich for one place..... ffp going to bite several clubs by sounds of it.

Nope, if you stay there for a solitary season then you only get two lots. If you stay there longer you get 3, as it is assumed the legacy costs incurred are larger, which is correct.

Our finances are fine now due to the sales of our PL players. Ayew in his last year so if we go up then I would have thought he stays and we can afford him, or we stay in the Champ, we lose the £15m parachute payment and he is one of the players that must leave to ease the burden of losing that income as he’s on £4m a year. Naughton and Routledge will also have to make way.

We are signing these younger players as their contracts will be relatively low, if they perform to a standard where they are wanting more money - that’s when we sell them and cream the profit to reinvest. Rodon, James and McBurnie being prime examples of that method.

So Cooper has obviously seen something in this kid having previously worked with him at England.

Derby need the money to pay Rooney's wages of 100 grand a week. Seems odd the players themselves not getting payed though.

Good signing for them and at a very decent price.

People asking why we can't bring in players like this. There are plenty of reasons but one of the main ones is that Swansea are 2nd in the league and have a clear club strategy, while we are 19 points behind them in 15th with no clear club vision.

Even if we were interested in these sorts of players, they would go to clubs which have a clear direction. That's not us.

Agree totally.

Until we change style we won’t achieve anything.

Unfortunately we are run by a bunch of amateurs.

Why did Moore choose us then over them?

And Wilson?

Not 100% sure what you have said there, or what point you are making. Why would we need to replace Lowe? I would imagine we will replace Ayew (assuming he isn’t going to take a pay cut to sign on again) with Hourihane and Morris.

Very strange thread I must say, from your post that doesn’t seem to say anything at all to Svens usual attention seeking obsessive silly little posts aimed at Swansea fans. At least he isn’t editing quotes from former players due to the chip on his shoulder and deleting posts noting such bitter behaviour this time :laughing6:

I don't recall making the remark or commenting on the 'stat' you refer to you any more than you answered the question asked above but that just about sums you up, Gunny; devoid of intellect and doing the bidding of your Trollmaster (who I note couldn't resist putting in another boring repetitive appearance)

One thing this thread shows is that it clearly 'gets' to you and it clearly gets to your boss more; laughing emojis don't hide that and why else would you obsessively troll another club's Forum? ;)

That's what narcissism creates; a fear of being ignored, rejected and ridiculed. Judging by his response above, repetitive garbage based on a jocular comment on a Cardiff City Forum, I've hit the proverbial nail right on its head

Of course, no 'bitter' behaviour from either of you two trolling on a rival club's Forum, is there...not!

Re: Swansea City have had a bid accepted for Derby County at

Trolling? Can you show me a single trolling post? I can show a few of yours if you like?

You absolutely hate Swansea doing well and you absolutely hate being challenged because you know you cannot intellectually compete, which is why instead of being embarrassed by my suggestion that due to your reaction I will only post on Swansea related threads... you pounced on it and protect it with your life. Clearly the only person your exchanges seems to get to... is you :laughing6:

You are the equivalent of the fat kid in the football team who has asked the owner to “be in charge” of the ball and has insisted people aren’t allowed to run as its the only way you can convince yourself you can compete. Happy to oblige Christopher.

Looking forward to the game at the Liberty? Don’t have sleepless nights now.

Keep up at the back you fun loving Union Jack lover

Union Jack is the United Kingdom flag. You know that right?

What a reaction...and you're not bitter?!

The only trolls on here are from a far off land called Swansville and you have no business here that doesn't involve your narcissistic needs

Biting like above just shows you to be what you are; frustrated tgat you are no longer given carte blanche on this Forum

You are an embarrassment to yourself and if you think I spend time 'worrying' about you that's your prerogative but it simply and factually isn't true

Can't say the same for you, as although you deny it, a quick trawl of your own posts and reactiond tell their own tales ;)

Unlike you, I choose when and how I react to you. Can you honestly say the same?

I look forward to your 'same old, same old' response with its clear bitterness and anger

And by the way, you are correct that my given name is Christopher; what a shame you are such a coward you cannot let people know yours ;)

Note: The narcissist and self-styled 'Forum Celebrity' need not respond...

At least its our country's flag

Doing your boss's bidding again are you, Gunny...?

Not quite as compelling as this ones though, eh? ;) :laughing6:

Could be his son? :laughing6:

Well, it is Swansea we are talking about, so... ;) :laughing6:

Yes Kris indeed you are , again :D

Indeed I am, Gunny; and seemingly surprising to you on a Cardiff City FC Forum, too :? ;)

Which beggars the question "Why are you here, if you are (as you say) not affected by a rival club and the things their supporters have to say about yours?" :?

You and your narcissistic Trollmaster 'The Busted Flush' dive to some pretty low depths in your obsession with our club on its own Forum, yet you think we are the ones in the wrong...?

You're having a laugh, Gunny; and, your boss and Flash Jack are an embarrassment to yourselves nowadays

And here's another one for you, Gunny; it's out there... :usa2: :usa2: :ayatollah:

Well said Sven. That’s some powerful stuff you got in there. Don’t think we will see him back here after that. Great work keep it up.

Wouldn't bet on that Bigmarkw, Just keep dreaming your just 11 points off the playoffs, and keep trying to ignore the fact that your just 8 points off the drop.
Just quoting some facts.

Hate to say this but they are simply better at running the football side of their business than City which is a total disgrace, embarrassment and unforgivable.
The lack of foresight is what gets me more then anything. City are a million miles ahead of swansea when it comes to everything- one of the most dynamic European cities which was in the PL 18 months ago and gone backwards.
Tan, Dalman & Choo may well be most successful in their own fields but when it comes to football they have little clue and seem to make it up as they go along without obtaining specialist advice from people with football knowledge and experience.
Don’t tell me that trio don’t employ specialists on the core of their own businesses - but they just muddle on and as a result City go in ever decreasing circles.
No football club has a divine right to success but the supporters deserve it to be at least run competently.
