Rangers have signed Bournemouth centre-back Jack Simpson on a pre-contract deal.


He means he will head to Ibrox this summer, when his contract with the Cherries expires.

Simpson has played 35 times for Bournemouth, 12 of which have come this season.

The 24-year-old came through the academy on the south coast and he could be joined in Scotland by teammate Nnamdi Ofoborh who is also in talks with Steven Gerrard's side.

He should get a medal this season !

I think it shows his ambition (or lack of it). Very few decent players come from Scottish Premier League to EPL although it does happen occasionally. Rangers must have offered him a nice contract but being young you would have thought he would want to stay south and prove himself.

He can look forward to Champions league qualifying rounds then Europa league but that's it really
