Welsh Independance and Football

There is a very dangerous group called Yes Cymru pushing for Welsh Independence

People need to know that Wales has a deficit of £9 Billion a year
To make that up we would need to tax people at 99%
i.e take home pay now £1500, would become £15
Or we lose hospitals, schools etc

Now please note we would also no longer be entitled to play in the English league
This particularly effects Cardiff City, Swansea City, Newport FC and Wrexham.

Independence is great if i listen to my heart, but if you listen to your head its really bad.

If you love your football, want to see Cardiff in Championship and Premiership then please fight these parasites who are looking to ruin everything we have and enjoy.

This year or next we in Wales will pay more tax, its in the manifesto that we pay more than England, thats a Welsh tax by our crooked Welsh Govt.

I love my football, i love the excitement of the teams we play. i do not want to lose that

This is utter Garbage and total fake news. It is sad that the Bluebirds forum can be used to peddle such nonsense! The people running the forum should consider action. The thread is rubbish without a grain of truth in it. Nonsense. So ridiculous that I cant be arsed to give it any credence with a proper response.

That 9bn deficit is wrong. Unfortunately it is Westminster fudging the figures to make it look worse. This is because huge chunks of that are costed against Wales as part of "UK spending"
For example HS2, although not running through Wales and not really having any benefit to Wales is costed against Wales so forms part of that 9bn figure. Similarly, the refurbishment of the Houses of Parliament is also being costed against Wales.
Similarly about 1.75bn of that is set against Wales as part of defence spending.
Regardless of views on independence this figure often gets thrown about and although the real figure isn't posted it is certainly considerably less than 9bn.

or that the FAW wouldnt..... both have happened....

I'm saying that teams are allowed to play in other countries' leagues. The OP is claiming Welsh independence would stop us from playing in the English system however 10 seconds on Google show that many many teams globally play in leagues that aren't their own nation's.

Not one person has given me a coherent answer other than England or Boris bashing as to what we need liberation from.

We aren't oppressed. I am not a quisling or any other insult because I am British as well as Welsh. I have ample representation at a political level - more so in Westminster than here seeing as we are obsessed by voting every tomato with a labour rosette in Wales.
We have a good standard of living. We are attached by land. The border is artificial and has fluctuated over the years i.e. Monmouth. The English are NOT a massive group of arse holes that want to oppress Wales.
