I put this out last year on here

They also said Tan had a offer to sell the club, but turned it down, hmmm.
They actually said it was a good offer as well.

Clearly a group keen to buy us??

Shows Tans commitment then doesnt it ?

Proves he cares and is still interested in this project otherwise he would have sold.

Just because financially it could have been a good offer , doesnt mean it was the right one

He does not care one bit

He never sold one because one offer changed their mind after seeing the books and seeing his bad the finances are.

The other offer he turned down even though as he said was a good offer, he dislikes that person .

Jonny,

Their are buyers out there and no matter what Thomas says it suited Tan to stay here this long, now he is more than ready to go but he will get a lot less for our club.

The man (Tan) made a mistake (red) lets move on FFS .

Which one of us hasn't made a mistake ?

Forgiveness isn't approving what happened , its choosing to rise above it .

He is like it or not one of, if not the best owner we have ever had .

Being the richest owner we have ever had doesn’t make him the best owner we have ever had, although I am relieved his money is there I wish he would take advice on how to use it at a professional football club like ours.

Dalman received this question with a degree of impatience. He stated that VT had received offers to buy the club, one of which he considered to be generous but was turned down by VT.

We were told to move on when we were red, why should we it was more than a mistake, 4 years of it.

The badge is awful.

And this is by the topic not the rebrand, we are on about sale of our club :thumbright: :bluebird:

Youve brought the rebrand in to

He's not the best owner the club had it was who ever owned the club in the 1920s and 1950s the only periods of genuine success.

Surely he has to be seen as the best owner we have had in living memory rebrand aside.. and lets not forget the hangers on in the boardroom were probably telling him it was a good idea to get some extra cash Issacs springs to mind plus PMG.. As much as Sam is lorded by some on here I seem to remember him demanding an extra half a million for his brother or he wouldn't sign the club over to the Riddler which would have seen us go into admin.. the other thing people need to remember is that he owns the club why should he sell if he doesn't want to,, would anyone sell something they own because people want or tell them to I think not.

Me i got no problem if Tan wants to turn down a good offer and then Tan looks after our club and takes us forward as promised

No I wasn't and still don't think he is the way forward for us long term but after listening to his interview and watching him take training looks like a good short term steady the ship appointment.. if he manages to get us into the playoffs then he will deserve another crack next season but ultimately I would like someone to come in and be given time to change the whole ethos of the club from academy through to the first team.. :bluebird:

Wish I had the answers Annis, personaly I for 1 would be happy if they came out and said they were giving a progressive manager 3 years to get the academy and first team playing a decent brand of football.. if that means we stay in the championship for the next 3 seasons so be it as long as the team were progressing and the academy is either getting youngsters in the first team or selling for a profit I would be happy.. as for the court cases Issacs is chancing his arm and Sam 10 mill because they took his life time presidency away is a bit of a joke hasn't he screwed over the club he professes to love enough. the Sala case is different for me the club are well within there rights to get to the truth and if we have to pay so be it

A lot of sense there :bluebird:

But Sam is not suing Tan over just the life presidency, its what Tan personally agreed and signed, all I can say is it will all come out :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Fair enough if they had agreed on an amount of money then it should be honoured and paid in full

If it was a GOOD offer he would have taken it, maybe the buyer thought it was good, but tan is a businessman if the offer matched Tans valuation he would have accepted it, so it wasn't a good enough offer

Newcastle had loads of good offers over the years, but not at the value set by the owner, it's their clubs, they sell when they are ready and the valuation is met.

Good points also he hasn't been a bad owner (rebrand aside) he has put money in and has written off a lot of the debt even if he did create a lot of it himself.
Also look at the Jack owners there not any great shakes but in fairness to there board they always seem to get the managers right. Imagine what we could do if we get the manager and academy right

Be careful what you wish for.

Depends on who wants to buy the club, how competent they are and what are their intentions.

BBC

18TH JULY 2013

Cardiff City FC will soon be 'debt-free' says owner Vincent Tan

Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan says he is "days away from Cardiff City debt free."

We eventually ended up nearly £200mill in debt due to how our club has been run and in 2021 we are still £78mill in debt.

Yet 2 promotions / merchandise / sponsorship brought in nearly £400mill.
