DALMAN TO SPEAK TO CARDIFF FANS

Mon Jan 25, 2021 11:29 am

Cardiff City Chairman Dalman will this afternoon do a zoom meeting with a group of Cardiff fans from different supporters clubs.

Dalman wants fans opinions on how they feel the club is doing etc

Personally I feel and many other people feel that Cardiff City TV on match days is so unprofessional by the team you on there and the ground needs more flags etc up as many have been taken down.

I also still feel we waste so much money on back room staff that hardly do anything especially the big names and big wages .

Ask him if he thinks the committee are as competent as the people running smaller operations on smaller budgets, such as Swansea City.  im sure the answer will be eloquent, without answering the bloody question

The message needs to get over why a large number of us oppose the Taking of the Knee". We believe its a Marxist political gesture and not a message against Racism.

Surely the most important question is what are the clubs plans for taking the football siide of things foward at the end of the season ?

We all hope McCarthy is successful but does the club have a longer term option under consideration ?

In my opinion I think that if the club interacted more with the fans it would create more of a "Us" feel to things.

Im not talking just about transfers, or money etc but just to be in the loop of what VT, MD or KC are doing it may bring the fans and the club together a bit more.

There was a great atmosphere when we were in the Prem when we were all united together wasn't there :thumbright:

if McCarthy is successful he becomes the longer term surely ? ....not sure what people expect tbh...Chelsea have just sacked Lampard , United are only now beginning to look anything like they did under Fergie and these are huge clubs with huge resources... managers at most clubs tend to be 2 year giggs but there seems to be a notion here that we can be looking years into the future....

In what way is it Marxist? Nothing wrong with Socialism in my opinion.

Didn't you know that 1 person in the entire organisation calls themselves a Marxist therefore anything related to the cause is Marxist as well. It doesn't matter that the players are taking the knee for the efl own anti racism campaigns.

Just an FYI, nuclear blue will be getting ready to call you a communist very shortly.

correct...i think the one persons christian name was Karl..... goodness knows why the EFL have tried to re brand it... well we all know actually , its to try to make out its not BLM and not marxist.... lets just pretend they havent got BLM banners in some grounds or that they ever wore shirts with the logo or that is was described as in support of BLM on every televised football match and in every MSM related article for months....

You don't need to be able to see into the future or have a long list of your next managers. A clubs philosophy doesn't change so the next manager can come in and try to improve the squad without starting from scratch every time.

What is the clubs current philosophy or longterm plan? Recruit an old school manager to get a squad, with limited technical ability, to perform? Grit and determination can only take you so far. I think we can all expect mick to stay on if he does well - and I hope he does. But I think we all know what type of football to expect. We've had a few Ipswich fans on here saying the football will be bad to watch at times. If that's the case, as soon as results are poor, fans will want to see change. And we are back to square one again.

You make a good point.

We are already a club hated by many. It will be a total embarrassment if we oppose taking the knee when it is understood to be a gesture of solidarity in the face of racism.

Taking the knee isn't supporting Marxism.....does anyone think that the EPL the EFL and all the radio and tv channels would endorse it if it was a nod to Marxism!!!?
Taking the knee is a statement of solidarity against racism. Not doing it will damage our reputation further.

they did endorse it mate and one by one are attempting to drop the BLM connection . trying to make out its something else... but a 2 min search will come up with umpteen top sports figures and politicians saying the kneeling was in support of BLM... we have kick it out which does not divide but instead they are sticking with something that does divide... which makes any solidarity claims a bit empty..

One by one, you say, they are trying to drop the connection. Well, that will take a very long time judging by the number supporting it. So, while the vast majority of organisations and clubs are supporting this particular stand against racism, I think we should continue to offer our support in this way too.
