Yep. Did that one as well. Only the one away game at Hull though. As Del Boy once said in an episode of Only Fools and Horses , "I`ve been to Hull and back"![]()
I checked last season and calculated that I had only missed about 10 home league games in the 48 seasons I have been a City fan. A snowstorm on the attempted journey from Cambridge , where I lived at the time , was one excuse I recall.Also a bout of pneumonia and pleuresy wrote off another couple of attendances some years ago (feeble excuse I know!!). Plus I think that 2 of my 3 daughters had the audacity to be born on the day of a home game.
You should have wound forward to this Saturday`s game to catch me out as I won`t be there . Its my middle daughter`s graduation ceremony in London. Cue the calls of "part-time" supporter!!![]()
