He had a very good game , but does he do it consistently ?

At 30 normally you would have made the step up already if you were good enough.

We need proven quality at our level

Nelson is the same ilk and he is struggling badly . He was in lower league his whole career. Its a massive step up for a centre back going into the championship. The strikers are a lot cleverer and clinical

I'm fairness though Tozer looks like he wouldn't mind the extra physicality and pace of the game.

Cheltenham would want decent money

I don't think so.

It's true that he was outstanding tonight against Manchester City. But when they play the big teams in the cup competitions, lower league players often put in the performance of their careers.

Very unlikely that he can put in that standard of performance every week.

He's 30 years old and if he consistently played like that, he would be playing in the Premier League and not in League Two.

I think back to our games against Liverpool in the 2012 League Cup Final and the 3-2 win against Manchester City in the Premier League in 2013. In both of those games, there were players in our team who were outstanding but never reached those levels again.

Proper long throw too. And from Plymouth. Surprised Warnock didn't throw a £3,000,000 fee somewhere for him at some point. Very difficult to argue he's worse than Flint.
