Craig Bellamy has been contacted by Cardiff City regarding the vacant manager’s job at the club, sources close to the situation have exclusively confirmed to Football League World.
Craig Bellamy has been contacted by Cardiff City regarding the vacant manager’s job at the club, but for now Bells is happy
as Anderlecht’s under-21 team coach and is contracted there till June 2022.
To be honest I knew Bells would never come back whilst Tan is in control, but one day it would be the dream job for him in the future

TBH Annis I love CBs passion and I really do think he'd be the perfect fit for us one day soon, but not quite now.
IMO the more I think of it the more I'm coming round to MM as manager. Plenty of passion and will not be afraid to drop the previously undropable players. As far away from a 'yes man' that you'll get imo. I reckon VT doesn't want get stung with another big compo payment after NH so think it may be a case of try before we buy. I'm ok with that.

Talksport are reporting that Paul Cook turned down a 6 month contract from City as he wanted a long term contract. Perhaps McCarthy will accept, with Bellamy coming in during the summer?

Craig has to be the number one cadidate to move forward as a club from top to bottom.
Cant blame him for not being keen on working with our current owners though.
Hoping he might be more tempted in the summer. Cant see it though

Think if was assured 3 years to implement all the changes that are needed he would be interested.
Thing is if the club came out and said this I think the fans would except this as long as we were competing
in the league and showing some desire.

Not at this time!

Few bad results and the crowd would turn on him as well and start throwing the liverpool fan thing in his face.
Its a shame people turned on Warnock and not let him see out the bad patch. Fickle era we are in I guess.
We are Cardiff City and its not a big draw or attraction for many. Big Mick will do for me.

An extreme minority turned in warnock in my view. In the stadium there was no where near enough negativity towards him in my view. A few yes few messages on message board was a lame excuse for me. Warnock knew what was coming and he bailed as soon as the extreme few gave any hint of negativity. The fact he mutually left and was paramount in getting g Neil Harris to replace him I also question.
Neil warnock in a few years is possibly legendary status as a Cardiff manager and one of the best I have seen us have. However,.he didn't leave us with players.of value for future and arguably most of his signings for millions have all reduced in value considerably.
Back on topic I would love Bellamy to come with MM has DOF support with a 3 year plan

Not for me at the moment He has done nothing in football management and just because he was a good player people think he will be a good manager

Have to agree! Needs to get some managerial experience before coming here, not that he's my choice.
Loved him,and what he brought to the club,as a footballer, but in all honesty,I would rather flynn from newport before bellers tbh.

I think its all about the right fit and timing for me. Big personality
needed with proven experience to handle VT and demanding fans.
Seem to remember Brendan Rogers's getting the sack for Watford once . So we shouldn't judge on history perhaps?
Fri Jan 22, 2021 5:15 pm
I retract that, he wasn't sacked then.

It would be interesting if he came as #2 with Kompany as manager.
The contacts Kompany has in the game coupled with Bellamy passion and connection to the club would be a perfect fit

Appointing Bellamy would be a risk at the stage we are and maybe to volatile anyways.
Mick McCarthy is experienced at this level and situation ,3 us the same mold as Warnock perhaps with more experience.
