I’m not going to say to much about this appointment but they have jumped in feet first again why didn’t they take a few weeks to have a good look what is out there am I disappointed to right I am

Totally agree Martyn, club showing no ambition at all and we are going backwards at a rate of knots.

Whoever makes these decisions within our club has zero football knowledge.

I'll give any manager my backing like I have done for the last 32 years whoever they've been.

However, I'm entitled to an opinion and feel that McCarthy is the wrong choice for our club and its future.

If it's a 6month term then that ain't too bad if they got someone decent lined up after that.

A few weeks how many exactly? Can lose 3 or 4 more games with an internal caretaker manager... so then we will hope to get a decent manager to keep us up if someone is stupid enough to take on relegation battle? you and others would be 1st to condemn club for waiting to appoint manager in that case..

So the next manager you want appointed must have got MORE than two teams promoted from the championship as macarthy has two previous successes on his cv ?? Ok we better start looking for a manager that’s taken at least 3 times up as champions may I add

Better off burning feet than head.

Hopefully he’s just a caretaker for 6 months, then Tan will sack Dalman and appoint an experienced Director of Football to be responsible for Recruitment and the Academy and a young First team coach to be responsible for tactics and motivation! Hughes and Bellamy would be my choices!

It's not just the 1st team that theres been improvement do are we seeing an upturn in way club is run and way we play? Looks promising let's just see if it lasts at least until end season so we know where we are going.

I don't think many had him at the top of our list(s) but once appointed I was immediately impressed by what he had to say; even his admission that he had to abide by a 'plan' to use more young players; something many of us on here have wanted to see happen effectively since Sam left

Still early days but Mick McCarthy has quickly steered us away from the danger zone and the outlook is far more positive (for most but not all, of course)

I haven’t said to much on The appointment of mm other than it’s not for me I still stand by that but like other supporters on here I will always follow and support city no matter whose in charge like I’ve done for the last thirty seven years delighted he got off to a decent start I don’t think we will finish in the play off but I hope we do but I still think we will finish the season in a comfortable position I never once thought we would be fighting a relegation battle even if Neil Harris had stayed in touch the one thing I will say on mm one reason for his good start is that I believe mm realise what a big club we are and how big we could be he seen the stadium had a good look at it from within he’s impressed with the training facilities all he hasn’t experienced yet is our fans home and away support he’s probably thinking know I need to take this club to where it deserves to be
