" Lets not get carried away "

Thu Jan 21, 2021 4:15 pm

OK so the majority of fans wanted NH gone and we have got our wish

BUT

We've got to remember that a big pot of money wont suddenly appear and the new manager is more than likely going to be a lower league guy or a fresh from their badges ex player, someone like that.

Someone who wont expect (and probably wont get) a large transfer budget and someone who themselves wont cost an awful lot to recruit.

Now that we have our way lets not either be disappointed with the replacement or get on their back within 3 games as I honestly don't think its going to be the "Howe's" or "Pearson's" of the world

I mean, I could be wrong and Thomas Tuchel will stroll through the door with a £100million budget

Time will tell.

Gotta be someone with a biggish reputation otherwise our resident idiots will be slagging him off after 3 games.

Billionaires leave billions of debt, throwing money at is not the answer.

Let's not forget there really is no one spending at the moment. We are still one of the top spenders in this league this year.

I don't think he is a billionaire. He appeared on the Sunday times rich list a few years back and was said to be worth about £700 million though a lot of these estimates are educated guesswork. A lot of his interests are in the leisure sector in Malyasia so would almost certainly been hit badly by the covid crisis. I would think he is a lot less rich now.
