Newton must be seriously considered

Eddie Newton is a great coach and currently caretaker manager in Turkey. He’s got excellent pedigree and connections at Chelsea and understands the DNA of us fans. If Tan can see the wood through the trees he will understand we also need a director of football and not two businessman in Dalaman and Choo just as yes men with no football knowledge. I have no problems with Watters and Ng signings as we need to invest in young talent and get a coach who can develop players. Harris sits alongside Slade, Osman, Hibbert and Flynn as some our most inept managers. We are a joke of a club at present and Tan must now realise he got it wrong in taking Warnocks advice for our next manager and going for the cheap option. Our current players have little transfer value so we have to get the right football people in at the top and bottom otherwise we will continue to sink. Changing our whole club philosophy will take time but if us fans can see a plan starting with a director of football and a manager with connections and knowledge we will expect 18 months before we can properly challenge in this league. Our whole midfield is a joke and this team needs dramatic surgery to come alive again.

Hes a good coach but that doesn't always translate into a good manager, he would be a gamble. Most of the best coaches fail when they step up.

Wasn't Steve cooper a coach prior to the Swansea job?

He was only in charge for 7 games,and they were in trouble results wise!
But being a manager in turkey,no results=no job!
Pity we dont adopt the same philosophy.
