Sad, but

Wed Jan 20, 2021 10:05 pm

Its sad but I think Neil Harris’ time is now up. Its always regrettable when someone loses their job. He has done his best at Cardiff and given it a good go.
VT has been very fair to him and allowed him time to turn things around. I dont blame VT if he now says enough.

Tonight there was some improvement for the last 20 mins of the first half. BUT 15 mins into the second half it was clear that QPR were getting on top. We have a top header of a ball in Moore but had no width- no one going down the line and crossing. A good manager changes things at that point, he doesnt wait for the inevitable goal.
ALSO If we are honest they should have had a second goal where the ref blew up to save us. Later Morrison was caught out and bought a foul when they should have had a 3rd.
The final nail in the coffin was that he didnt bring on Murphy until 5 mins from the end. He then put in the best cross of the match. :bluebird:

its a job he grabbed with both hands mate..gets paid more than most posters on this board and when they do get rid will walk away with a lottery win type amount of dosh.... probably wont get such a high profile job again but will no doubt work as a coach or manager somewhere.. im sure most 43 year olds would swap places including most 43 year old ex pros who have not had this opportunity...

I get what you are saying...., but whatever job you do you want to do the best you can. As such its a shame when things go badly and something has to give. Unfortunately, that is what needs to happen now. I am sure that there will be a statement later today. The statement should be “thanks for all your efforts Neil and best wishes for the future....”
I hope it wont say that he has a certain time to improve results or else. That would show that theyve lost faith but we will plod on for now. Then Harris has a public “threat” hanging over him..
It makes sense to have a clear change now, especially as we don’t have a game Saturday.
But I dont understand fans calling him “a sly weak rat etc etc.” Basically, he will be leaving us in a similar place to where he started.
For me. I would like to see Pearson here, but I doubt it will happen. :bluebird:

Same manager took us to the Playoffs last season after Warnock was taking us down.

Sometimes it doesn't matter what you achieved yesterday, it's how you are doing today.

Warnock got us promoted, just over a year later, the fans wanted him out.

Harris had his chance, but route 1 from the off last night really didn't do it for me.
