Jack Simpson’s contract finishes with Bournemouth June this year and has not been offered a new one.
Simpson was originally offered one and the club with drew it.

Cardiff City will pay £250,000 will add ins ins which eventually could be up to £750,000.
The deal is worth up to £750,000 if Simpson plays so many games / promotion etc.

No idea how good he is but he should consider a lot of clubs will be getting rid of players at the end of this season and reducing the size of their squads, decent offers to players will probably be less on the table than any time in decades. Certainly nothing Bournemouth fans are saying about him suggest he is any better than the championship and a good championship club are happy to see him go,difficult to see him doing any better for Cardiff.

Mate nobody knows what has happened for the U turn so it’s complete guesswork and not necessarily a negative view of our club by him.

TBH the player as been at Bournemouth since he was 9, so surely a massive decision to make for him.
Not a decision to make instantly surely ?
So hopefully after considering his options , he will come to us !

There could be numerous reasons behind the U turn made by him in the first place. It doesn't automatically mean he doesn't want to come here.

If the rumours are true and he's talking to the club about a move still he obviously doesn't NOT want to come.

Will welcome him aboard if he does, but happy to move on if he doesn't

his manager is probably just trying to manage his squad and they have just spent quite a bit on Carter-Vickers....

yes it a bit of a punt but he is cheap and im afraid thats where we are at the moment...much prefer to be competing for the guy they have signed but it is what it is....as for not wanting to come there have been lots of those who turned out fine...

Paterson was happy here and didn't want to move.Playing for his local club it must be a bit of a wrench as he's just got a run in the side and probably didn't see this coming.

He either wants to come or he doesnt. The fact he said no clearly means his heart isnt in it and with no crowds for him to bask in his own glory etc - there will be no buzz. He wont be a happy player

A move to another football club is the same as a new job opportunity outside of football. Anyone with an ounce of common sense would want to weigh up the pros and cons before making a decision.

Let the lad think it over before he decides one way or the other. He's not dissing our club. He's just considering what's right for him at this stage of his career. Surely nobody can fault him for doing this.

Well I’m aware that if all is agreed he will be signing

He'll go from not being in Bournemouth's plans to eventually being first choice CB at our club, I'd imagine. He might be holding out for a better club (closer to home?) but he's 24 now and barely played first team football. He really needs to make a move to kick-start his career if its not going to happen at Bournemouth.

I think he would be a good signing but I hope the club don't linger on this for too long. If he's not coming we need to bring in someone else. We don't want another grujic situation.

Annis he certainly does, hard to know exactly what is going on but I am sure now that Simpson is well aware that he is not wanted at Bournemouth
