I got told today Dalman, Choo have given a vote of no confidence and it’s Tan who is holding out, he’s a big fan of Harris, why because he is a yes man in my opinion, cheap and accepting a very small budget.
Up to you all , it’s what I was told this afternoon.
Sat Jan 16, 2021 8:00 pm
Annis, you are correct. I knew this some time ago.
It’s 100% Tan decision and Tans alone.
Sat Jan 16, 2021 8:06 pm
I think it's fair to assume if supporters were in the stadium at the moment voicing their concerns the situation could be both different.
Sat Jan 16, 2021 8:06 pm
Hard to believe this is not true, VT making decisions from 6000 miles away.
Smacks of Trollope all over again.
We are sleepwalking into a relegation fight.
Bottomm of the current form.

Paul, exactly and Tan is not rushing as he won’t let it cost him any more money.
Sat Jan 16, 2021 8:11 pm
Not hugely surprised by this.
I know that Dalman hasn't been a fan of Harris for a long time.
Harris was Tan's choice and doesn't want to sack his own choice.
Ole was Dalman's choice and Tan didn't hesitate to sack him.

Lose Wednesday and VTs resolve will surely be put to the test.

It was also believed Harris would not be backed by the board with signings but it looks as if he will spend about £2mill this week with Watters , Simpson and NG alone.
Vincent has a history of giving managers too much time. He will make the correct decision this week.
Regardless of that he is certainly proving he is still committed to the club with his signings
Sat Jan 16, 2021 8:16 pm
Harris was recommended to the club by Warnock
Sat Jan 16, 2021 8:16 pm
Tan probably doesn't want to pay out his contract. Weve already spent over a mill this window on watters and Simpson (if that one goes through). Hopefully bring a RB in as well. Maybe he's banking on Harris not taking us down-he really shouldn't with the squad- and then getting rid at the end of the season.
Sat Jan 16, 2021 8:19 pm
Tan’s money is keeping this club afloat.
He obviously. Trusts Harris, if you were him wouldn’t you be sceptical of Dalmans and Choi choice of manager,
So I fully understand Tan’s stance on this.

Yep and he is a football man through and through
Just proves that naming a manager is probably a 50/50 gamble whoever makes the decision, no matter how experianced in football they are

I don't doubt what you're saying Annis, Dalman made it clear what he expected of Harris by January and he has failed massively.
What I can't understand about Tan is his investments in this current squad has been very sufficient over the past year and a half to mount a challenge at the top end of the table, we are heading in the opposite direction of that though currently and I would pin Tan as a demanding owner that would expect success after his investment in this squad.
So how can Tan be happy with these results that Harris (and the squad) are currently producing?
He apparently watches all of our matches whatever time of day, is he honestly pleased with what he has seen in these recent games? I know that I'm not as a fan, Tan proclaims he is fan of Cardiff City aswell, so how does he not see what other fans see?
The board have all been very quiet since that Dalman appearance on the radio after the transfer window ended back in October, I think its clear that their patience has gone with Harris, I just wonder how long the man that is keeping him in his job will keep doing so? At what point does he say "Okay this is breaking point, enough is enough" ?
So many questions very little in terms of answers right now.

I was listening to radio 5 at lunch time and they were talking about Boro. Saying that if they won today they'd be in the top 6.
And I think that just shows us something, Warnock got promoted with roughly the same players amd he's taken a Boro , who lets be fair are average to sh1t at best - and he's nearly got them top 6.
Can you see Harris inspiring the players to get us top 6 ? - as I cant , and the players havent bought into it either.

Get rid of Harris, go for James Milner player manager, Sol Bamber back up, Craig Bellamy back on board. Milner has a wealth of talent, big name that could encourage the right players to come to Cardiff, act now before it's to late.

Annis this falls in line with what I was told separately, i.e. that Vincent Tan is 'supporting' the current manager against the opinions of those around him; one of whom previously supported the manager but has since changed his mind
Clearly something has (if it is no longer) been afoot, as we both know that others were spoken to with a view to possibly replacing
Maybe Neil Harris is better on the 'Bat Phone' than he is in the changing room...!

Exactly Chris, what I was told as well .
Tan is his last supporter and of course has the final say.

It was always going to be Tans decision. If I owned the club, it would be mine. Whilst I’d like a change, Harris had shown some form for wheeling and dealing. Let’s hope he has a good Jan

Told by who exactly??
I think the only 4 people who would definitely know if that statement is true would be:-
1) Tan
2) Dalman
3) Choo
4) Harris
Was it one of them??

I know it will go against the armchair managers/owners on here, but good!
I'm glad he's staying and I'm glad he's being backed!
It's about time this club had some stability. It will do us very well in the future.
Norwich was always going to be tough, we have 3 centrebacks out and no right back. Wilson is off form but undroppable.
We saw today when Moore came on how different we were, played some decent stuff and if it werent for the poor form of Wilson and the annoyance that is Bacuna (wish he would pass sometimes) we couldve had a few more goals. Defending down our RH side has been awful for ages, but bring back osei tutu and Mozza and it makes a huge difference.
Harris may not be our Premier League guy, but he could easily be a Toshack to a Speed, or a Pearson to a Ranieri and lay a foundation for this club that will benefit us for years.
Sat Jan 16, 2021 9:35 pm
As the OP says, up to us whether we believe it.
For me, Tan may be stubborn and opinionated but he does expect results when he backs people.
Harris has been backed and is still failing, therefore I think this is more about whether there is a decent replacement who is available and/or willing to come here.
Harris simply isn’t get the best out of a very decent squad, that isn’t good enough.

In fairness you get feed some shit

Annis and others in “the know” - really wish that you could advise your sources for thread headings like this.
Sat Jan 16, 2021 10:02 pm
I believe what’s been posted as it’s clear that Dalman isn’t a fan but of course tan is in charge. Also can see that more players are coming in this week which seems to indicate the manager isn’t going anywhere.
Sat Jan 16, 2021 11:30 pm
Tan is the man, he is it basically all other talk is worthless. What he wants he gets. Remember it is a business or have you forgotten the last decade?
Sat Jan 16, 2021 11:35 pm
If tan supports him, I think (as we r seeing) he will back Harris and give him funds to buy the players, but come February or mid Feb he be gone, if results don't change rapidly
Sat Jan 16, 2021 11:38 pm
You either change the manager or players,It looks like the latter is happening.

The more I think about it the more I believe Harris will remain as the man to get rid of the high wages and bring in cheaper replacements.
