Was Harris post match statement a goodbye?

Sat Jan 16, 2021 6:59 pm

I found his statement strange.

Bigging up and praising the players after an abject defeat, the fifth in a row, and how he was proud of he lot of them?

Although I have to say I am starting to agree with a few on this board that the City board actually want to keep him, but it sounded like a post match press conference of a big win??

Fingers crossed?

He certainly looked haggard and unkept,,,, came across as trying to be positive,,, but I’m not convinced. He’s totally out of his league, and is holding on by his finger nails. If he stays any longer, guess what? He’ll be telling us that the next game is not a must win game, ffs!

We don't know what really get said in the corridors of power.....

If anyone needed to see the difference between Moore and Glatzel then today was it. Whether Norwich took their foot of the gas but the second we came on he looked a competent outfit, even more so without Pack.

Glatzel, Murphy, Whyte, Vassel, Flint, Pack are not Harris's, "Sorry Vincent I have tried, but they are shit" ,"I need some time to move them on and buy young hungry lads"

I think he stays and will even have a warchest to buy when he moves the expensive flops on.

He may not cut it as a head coach/tactician but he may be a really good general manager and leave us with a decent squad of players.

Agree with this, if we start chopping and changing mangers we could go down a slippery slope where none of them ever get the team going. Let him clear out the dross that’s sapping up the budget, happy with stabilising and bringing in hungry players this year if it means we can make a go of it next year with fans there hopefully
