CARDIFF CITY FC:
Gavin Whyte has today joined @HullCity on loan, subject to international clearance.
Have just had it confirmed that Gavin Whyte to Hull City on loan is indeed in the pipeline.
Hull City line up Bluebirds winger
Gavin Whyte is on the verge of signing a loan deal with League One outfit Hull City.
Harris is not a fan of the 24-year-old Northern Ireland international Whyte.

NEIL HARRIS THIS AFTERNOON:
Neil Harris:
I said I certainly didn't want anyone to leave the club unless we were bringing someone in.
There's every chance that someone might be leaving within the next 24 hours on a loan move because we're getting somebody in and I certainly wouldn't want to lose somebody without bringing somebody in.
We're waiting to see at the moment. I won't say too much more on that because I don't want to talk unfairly about other people's players.
Harris

Not been given a chance

they not see him under warnock played every game under him, created zero, couldn't cross a ball, another 2m down the tube.
Work rate brilliant but nothing up the top end of the pitch.
Good move for him he might come back a better player or hull sign him for couple of mill if they go up.
Hopefully bring in better than him.
Good move for everyone

One in one out. Our first window signing will be this weekend then. I hope we have a new striker. Whyte would not add anything to this team in the second half of the season. A successful loan out to Hull may add to his value and he'll be off in the summer.

Amazed he was never tried at right back.
Thu Jan 14, 2021 6:25 pm
He was rated more highly than Curtis Nelson when we signed him. Not sure if he went backwards under Warnock or was not that good in the first place. Oxford rated him highly. He may well blossom at Hull and we might get a bit of money for him. Not point him staying at Cardiff as Harris does not rate him.

He had plenty of game time before Harris landed ,hard worker, no end product ,needs to work on his crossing and ability to get into the box, all essential for a decent winger.

Not sure how I feel about Gavin Whyte to Hull. Great for him to get game time and, for Cardiff, I suppose it all hinges on who his replacement is. But I think he’s a decent player and was always a fan of his under Warnock.
Will be interesting to follow his progress at Hull

The problem (one of) with Cardiff is that players never have time to find their feet. You get a few games, either because there is too much riding on things to wait for a player to come good, or because fans lose patience. People were writing off Vaulks after 45 mins! It’s mental
