Ciaron Brown recall clause explained

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=219547

Benkovic's recall prompted calls for Ciaron Brown to be recalled from his loan up at Scottish top-tier side Livingston.

The Northern Ireland international was sent up there on his third loan spell with the club in order to gain some first-team experience.

With Cardiff short on options heading into this weekend's clash - Sean Morrison, Sol Bamba and Aden Flint are all out injured - it would have been an ideal opportunity for Brown to slot into the side.

However, Cardiff do not have a recall clause in Brown's contract until the end of this month, meaning they will be unable to bring him back before the Nottingham Forest FA Cup clash this weekend.

Harris squad is dwindling and is set to recall Ciaron Brown to add to his current squad as Harris has been told there will be no money in January available, so must call on every player he can and look to bring more loan players in.

Harris has already recalled Tom Sang from Cheltenham.

For me my state of mind is that if we survive relegation we will have done well.

When we rely on recalls of players that have very little chance of getting a game with a full squad then that to me tells me our situation is dyer. Our squad has been decimated with the injuries to key players BUT we should have been prepared for this with backup. We were not because lets be blunt here we have an owner who wants to do everything on the cheap. He has got away with it over the last decade because of the parachute payments but now they are about to end everything is catching up on him because of his business model.

It’s a fair point but lots of teams recalling players at the moment as bodies needed to manage the COVID situation. Saw Wolves recalled a player from Swansea yesterday and there will be more.

Hopefully it’s a case of just making sure we have enough bodies in just in case, but continuing to try and add if at all possible.

Why let benkovic go now it makes no sense! Even if we just had him for the next two weeks until bamba comes back. Now scrabbling around trying to recall youngsters out on loan to put a team out considering the depth at centre back for most of the season is crazy

They called him back due to Harris never playing him.

I get why Leicester have called him back from their end but I just think it’s crazy from us. Bring in a highly rated centre half at this level and an international by all accounts and not play him at all then he goes back when we are desperate for players who play in his position.

NEIL HARRIS:

Tom Sang

He’s trained a couple of days with us. Tom is Tom. He’s trained brilliantly. He’s got a real drive and passion for the game. That’s one of his biggest attractions for us, and his versatility. We’re really pleased with his loan. It’s his first loan in professional football.

Harris

Who does he want to recall?

I cant see in the above statement which player Harris has said he wants to recall.

Or is this just another nonsense thread for hits?

The real (quote you) "nonsense" is some who doesn't read a thread properly and then slates the people/person who put it out there with the required information...

Not that I'm saying the current trend is to be negative and 'knock' pretty much everything on this Forum and regarding the club itself, of course... ;)
