At the end of the season with our loanees returning to their parent clubs, people like Hoiliet and others leaving after their contracts have ended we will have hardly anyone left. We will only have the youngsters and the results below first team level show they are not good enough. Also, there will be no money available for new players. Depressing. The Jacks are currently doing well, have good players and even now are looking at signing exciting youngsters on loan. Depressing

I read swansea could lose a stack of players, they have loanees too, plus around 6/8 players at end of contracts,so they could be in the same boat! As far as the youngsters,we have an average age of 19 for the under 23's,as the majority of the u18's were promoted to that squad, and from what ive read somewhere, the under 18 teams may go due to Brexit?, cant see it myself,as we will have to have some form of competitive football for them?

That's how Malky got lucky. Walked in to a near blank canvas and a large pot of money.
A managers dream!

2 seasons and 4 transfer windows later he got us promoted.
He's not achieved anything near that good in his career since. Shows how much easier it is when you dont have to clear out the dead wood and dressing room influencers.

Blank canvas is what we need to many getting stupid money for nothing and to old and injury prone to add.

Getting a great manager will be the hardest thing and VT should let him get on with it this time.

Seeing replies above - maybe this is the plan?

Like, REALLY start again.

I would say for about 3 years now there's been players that are either wasting away on the bench or reserves, severely under performing or just on too big a wage packet to continue season after season.

I mean, this would really only work if there was a pot of money to assemble a new squad in the aftermath, but maybe there is?
Maybe this "No money available" stance is just being paraded whilst Harris is still in a job? Tan's hardly going to say "Yes there's money available, but not for Neil Harris".

Then again, we've never been a club with suitable long term plans have we so perhaps we just really are a circus

Difference this time though is there isn't a large pot of money available!
