‘ Neil Harris Recalls Player ‘

Tom Sang has been recalled by Neil Harris after his loan spell at Cheltenham Town. Struggled, really, to break into a Cheltenham team, Sang will go straight in to Cardiff City’s squad.

Sang was on loan for 4 months with Cheltenham but only made 3 starts in the League.

Tom Sang has returned to Cardiff City after spending the first half of the season on loan at Cheltenham Town.

The 21-year-old former Bolton Wanderers and Manchester United prospect made three League Two starts for the Robins.

"I think its been a good loan," Duff added.

"It's been a difficult one for him in terms of he's been a little bit in and out, but I think it'll be interesting what Cardiff think because I think he will go back into their first team group now.

A bit controversial this, but i dont think we have any young players up to league 2 standard. That includes Mark Harris who couldn't break into a Newport County team

I kept reading the reports on Sang and he was not getting starts for their league games, which was the main reason why he went there.

if you struggle to play regular first team for Cheltenham , I would be stunned if he makes a big impact here, sounds desperation in my opinion to have him back.

On the face of it if he struggled to get into Cheltenhams league two side there is no way he would get into our team. That said there is a thread on him on a Cheltenham fans forum and they are saying when he did play for them he did well and they would have liked to have kept him though more as a squad player to cover for injuries.

Depressing that two of our best youth team players are not good enough for Cheltenham and Wrexham. Suppose we can't expect any decent players from the youth set up in the foreseeable future,Bagan excepted.

His lack of starts will give no indication of the ability of the player at all.

Mark Harris got very little game time (let alone starts) for either Newport or Wrexham, but does not look out of place at all at this level.
