And injured prob till March.
Flint needs surgery on his ankle.
Who ever agreed on this contract is worse than pathetic, Flint got injured at Wednesday on a season long contract
That does not happen on season long loans unless you agree to it in the first place.
Sheffield Wednesday terminate loan - Aden Flint heads back to Cardiff City
Aden Flint only made a handful of appearances on loan for Sheffield Wednesday.

This is absolutely unbelievable, only at CCFC

Scarily inept.

It will be very interesting to see what the City management have to say on this...
Have Sheffield Wednesday and their 'make Tan look a Saint' owner stitched us up or was there a pre-agreement that Wednesday could wriggle out of it should (as has happened) the player get injured?
Still hearing whispers Leicester may recall Benkovic just as we need him but I really hope he stays and plays. We'll be even more stuffed, if he doesn't (stay)

Yes I am hearing Benkovic could be recalled, you could not blame Leicester City.

Anyone know who at the club facilitated this agreement ?
Anyone know who then agreed it ?
Whoever they are , whatever level they are at
They need to be taken off that job and moved on something like cleaning the toilets or making the tea.
Amateur beyond belief, I presume our insurance wont cover it either as it was done at another club

Tan and Co have no clue about football, this is the result. We’re just a rich mans play thing, that he’s got bored of.
Mon Jan 04, 2021 5:48 pm
Harris said this when Pulis, was manager
"It's one where, he will stay with us for a period and it's whether he can get back on the grass quickly enough to be involved with us from January onwards, or whether Sheffield Wednesday think about extending the loan past January because he will be useful for them past January.
Maybe the initial loan was Until the end of January. With an option to extend.
Going on what I've seen so far I would prefer flint any day

Wow, so many contract experts on here, however please answer the following:-
1) who put the January recall/return option in the deal. Did Sheff Wed insist on it as part of the agreement to pay his full wages (not much we can do about that) or did we insist on it knowing we might need him if Benkovic didn’t work out or because Bamba is injury prone ( sensible on our behalf)
2) We obviously have the same agreement with Leicester over Benkovic (good work on our behalf)
3) Many borrowing clubs insist on a recall option in the January window (we sent back Danny Drinkwater early)
Loan transfers are a minefield and it’s impossible to get them right evertime.
Every club makes mistakes.. the so called well run Swansea City paid a £7 million loan fee to Bayern Munich for that Portuguese flop a few years ago. We did ok in the loan market in the summer and it’s doesn’t prove we are a poor run club because one deal didn’t quite work out

This is what we need to wait and see...

At last a sensible post on loan transfers, Nobody on here knows the terms of the loan and Wednesday at least paid Flint’s wages for 4 months for just 4 games ! How people on here blame Tan anyway amazes me as he certainly wouldn’t be getting involved with the paperwork for a loan transfer!
Mon Jan 04, 2021 6:29 pm
No one knows what the deal was seems another club bashing thread tbh

I will answer the question, a loan deal is however both clubs want to agree on and that’s the truth .

1: We do indeed have to wait and see what was in place
2: We were told it was a
'season long deal' in both examples above, so can see the confusion of many
3: Swansea never made an operational error in modern times; and we have the narcissistic
'busted flush' late night lurker here to tell us that at every opportunity

Might as well let him know to not unpack his luggage as he will be leaving Cardiff soon....Well I hope so anyway.

So there’s every chance Sheff Wed insisted on a recall agreement and in return they agreed to pay all his wages
No idea how anyone can criticise the club for that, if he hadn’t got injured we would probably have recalled him anyway to cover Mozza’s injury and Benkovic recall.
Utter madness to criticise the club

Yes of course and Cardiff must of agreed.
I have seen how these contracts are under Sam and the Riddler.
It’s all about what the clubs agree on in these loan deals , Wednesday look like they dictated this loan deal to their advantage.
The club I love, the regime , I can’t stand.

Our fans amaze me
Everybody was over the moon we were able to ship him out at the start of the season because he has been poor and he is on big wages. It was a great move until January where both clubs could either agree a extension or recall which seems normal to me.
He now has picked up a injury which could not have been forseen and its all Cardiff fault .
Anybody thought possibly we may have got a loan fee in the contract or Sheff wed have to pay a early release clause ?
Would he be playing now anyway even if he was fit and still here ?
It looks like to me we got big wages off the bill for half a season and that's been a big plus for us this season through this deal , the fault being Warnock signing him in the first place not the loan deal.
Heres a question
IF Benkovic was recalled and Flint was fit and playing for Sheff Wed every week . Would the same people be bashing the club if we couldn't recall him ?
Would they say well done that we could ?
I doubt it !

Chris if I am not mistaken Flint has had his op a little while back so he could be back a lot sooner that is being said, who knows

The Regime’s come and go .

i cant remember the exact terming, EVERY club which has a player on loan "Can terminate" the loan.
a recall option is given to the parent club. i.e cardiff would of had a recall option so if we were short at the back, they could terminate the loan early.
all clubs with loan players can send them back at any point.
we could cancel benkovic loan at any point if we wanted.

I've said this so many times...because it is true; so-called owners are only ever
'temporary custodians'!
