By now we are all pretty much raging about Benkovic

(although Harris proved he does actually exist by finally bringing him on from the bench)

Who was the last player City signed who never / or hardly played?

Jason Brown and Chris Riggott come to mind.

And there were two Americans (or something) we signed the season we got promoted with Warnock? A GK and someone who went on to play with LA Galaxy?

All four players have about 2 appearances between them

What was the story with Guerra? Didn’t he have a fairly decent record prior to coming here?

Javi Guerra for me. His record was incredible and I couldn't quite believe that we actually managed to get him. Probably the most excited I've been about a signing in recent history and I was gutted that he barely got a game.

Simon Lappin... signed on loan from Norwich, plays 2 games getting sent off in one of them...then gets a permanent move and an 18 month contract but never plays again..

I’m getting mixed up with Simon Walton.. remember that game we beat Leeds 1-0 and finished the game with 9 men

Martin John.

He signed for us July 2010. He played in a friendly against some Spanish team at the CCS. we lost 1-0. He then played against Burton in a 4-1 win in the League cup. Next thing he was off to Newport on loan and never came back.

Godfrey Ingrams name comes to mind.. remember he scored a great goal against Preston at the Canton End.. then he was off

I V has played three times for us; coming on as a 91 minute substitute and scoring a goal v Luton (10/08/19), coming on after 45 minutes away to Reading (18/08/19), and finally, playing the first 45 minutes of the cup game v Luton on 27/08/19.
In all, little over 90 minutes of football during one full season, and half of the next one.

One strange one who looked pretty good but only played 3 games was Guido Burgstaller.

Yeah we could prob name a whole squad under Ole's 'reign' if you can call it that.

Burgerstaller barely played. I thought he looked a great fit for the championship, strong, quick, hard working and decent on the ball.

Yeah and a right back we signed under Malky for the prem who never played and went out on loan? I can't remember his name, although he may have played a year or two later..

Did Fan Zyie ever get a game in the first team. I recall watching him in a reserve game at NP against Palace, a 30 yard screamer. Didnt see much of the chinese superstar after that.

yes , he got the 1st of the reds...really strange ,his loan ends , he goes back to Norwich , we sign him a few days later then he doesnt play at all....
