MBE - Alan Curtis

There are few people to have successfully had a foot in both camps. Alan Curtis is one of that rare breed. He is, at the moment, more closely linked with Swansea City, but of course, he has history as a Bluebird.

I’m sure that many of us will join in congratulating a true living legend and Welsh footballer. His career has been littered with success and he’s a nice guy too.

Well deserved for a very decent man and very good footballer.

Such a well deserved award, great footballer, good example to young kids coming through and is probably one of the main reasons their back room setup was working so well. Met him once and he is the sort of bloke you realise that football and make the game better is something that he cares very deeply about.

He is a jack though - but we'll forgive that as it's New Years Eve

He’s a decent bloke and I wish we had someone like him behind the scenes at our club. As ever, what have we got? Besides, he scored one if the best goals I’ve ever seen live to help us win the Welsh cup on a warm summers Eve back in 1988. What a night

He’s actually from our catchment area, the Rhondda but again our Academy didn’t spot him and he went to the Jacks! He however played with distinction for us and is a great guy! Director of football anyone?

Well done curt I know he is jack but what a player and a gent he was superb for us when we got promoted in the 80s scoring some cracking goals but his best goal was in the welsh cup final against Wrexham down the vetch
