Surely the idea of changing the style of play is to be more competitive, not less.
And it has to be evolution, not revolution.

The change needs to be balanced so we stay competitive and in the league. Dropping out of the championship would be a disaster. Its not going to be a quick fix as the squad seriously lacks passing ability/creativity. Not sure our fan base has the patience to be honest if its not quickly successful. But A decent place to start would be appointing a manager with experience playing that way, signing 2 ball playing CBs and a creative CM and build the team around them.

I'd be all for a definitive style, better football and winning football.
It would be a disaster to bring someone in who changes style regardless of the ability of the current players to adapt to it. It should be done in a controlled manner over time.
Never understand the "happy to be relegated to regroup and come back stronger" argument. Once down, no guarantee to come back.
