MY VIEW: OUR UNDER 18'S AWFUL RESULTS THIS SEASON / UNDER 23'S AWFUL RESULTS THIS SEASON / OUR FIRST TEAM AWFUL RESULTS THIS SEASON & EVERY TWO YEARS WE HEAR THERE IS GOING TO BE CHANGES / CLEAR OUTS / WE HAVE BEEN HEARING THE SAME OLD STORY FOR 11 YRS / RESULT:
After 11 years and twice in the Premier League, Nearly £400mill has come in and our financial situation by now should be good & Our Academy should of by now producing at least a few quality players, but neither has happened.
A committee/ board have no clue on football and all live far away from our club.
ON THE PITCH CARDIFF CITY IS SADLY STRUGGLING IN EVERY DEPARTMENT / SADLY ALL FACTS
Of Course there is quality in our team, but from day one, everyone could see in Oct/Nov/Dec etc most clubs get a lot of injuries / suspensions, so you cant cut the squad to minimum, and now Harris admits that and of course the youngsters are not ready yet as thats been the same old story with our kids for 11yrs.
Neil Harris vows to ring changes in January, but first he says there is no money and will have to clear players out.
The Bluebirds were comprehensively beaten by by rock bottom Wycombe Wanderers last night.
It means Cardiff City have now lost four of their last five matches and a disgruntled Harris was brief in his explanation as to why that has been the case.
NEIL HARRIS:
"You can see that we lack a bit of quality."
"We are a tight group and the January window is upon us and it's important we try and add, if we can, to the group, especially when you look at injuries and how long people are going to be out."
"Our young players we have got in the group aren't quite ready to step in. They need time to develop."
"If we are going to add to the group then certainly, bringing in players that give us that leadership or athleticism, or a bit of both if possible, will be vital."
Having spoken with owner Vincent Tan every day recently, though, Harris explained that: " If We add to the squad, players will have to leave next month."
“I’ve spoken to Vincent every day for the last week or two weeks, I spoke to Mehmet [Dalman, the chairman] two days ago, and they know my thoughts," Harris said.
“We’re not going to spend money in January, there is no money."
“Signing lots of players and spending lots of money is not going to be the case. That’s been done in the past and I’ve tried to address that in the time that I’ve been here,Ive cleared out many players and made our squad a lot smaller,I have done everything asked of me."
“We’ll try and adjust the group – we’ve seen tonight we need to do that – but to adjust the group, players have to go out. Do clubs want to sign our players? I don’t know – I haven’t had any phone calls yet.
