Bellers

Don’t think too hard about it. Just do it.

Re: Bellers

Wed Dec 30, 2020 6:13 am

Didn't he recently get sacked from his role in the youth set up due to a bullying case? I don't think there's any chance bellers gets picked.

Re: Bellers

Wed Dec 30, 2020 7:40 am

I think the time is right for Bellers but we don’t know how he feels about the club after the investigation.

If it’s not Bellers then Nigel Pearson is a safe option and he is available.

I wouldn’t rule out Bamba for the rest of the season and then either see how he goes or line up a longer term appointment in the summer.

Why?

Appoint him now, caretaker until seasons end, with an opportunity for permanent. fire , passion, motivation, attack and flair minded. Cares about our youth system and our Welsh capital city identity. He chased every ball for us as a player even when we had the game in the bag with minutes to go, still shouting and driving on his team mates who were already halfway down the tunnel. Gimme some of that! He would target players who can actually shoot at the target and take on a defender and beat him. Target players who train well, aren’t lazy or quitters and than can actually pass the ball in a forward direction. None of these traits are at CCS and haven’t been since DJ. That’s Craig Bellamy, I want to see if he can do it as a manager at our club, now is that time.

Re: Bellers

From what I know about Craig Bellamy - he is a very divisive character. Some people like him others want to kill him , others are afraid of him (not sure why given his size and demeanor) , a smack in the chops from Mozza would soon sort him out on that front.

Eddie Howe - probably waiting for a PL club
Pulis
Pearson

Would be the main candidates should Harris decide to fall on his sword

You’re surely referring to him from his playing days which ended years ago.

He deserves a chance to prove these people wrong who live in the past and manage his hometown club, and get everyone on the front foot, I liked his opinions on tactics whilst a pundit, and he won’t break the bank to appoint unlike your fantasy football suggestions.

Re: Bellers

Bellers would be my choice if Harris goes.

Been sacked by the club , he doesn’t really care about Cardiff thinks more of Liverpool

Re: Bellers

Bellamy was not sacked by the club fake news again, he took a leave of absence while the investigation took place, he was disciplined for what was supposed to have happened and apologized for it, in the meantime he was offered a job coaching by his old mate from Man city and accepted it. End of!

Appoint him until the season ends?
He’s got a good job at Anderlecht so why would he give that up to come to us for a few months?
Are you real?

Now if he was offered a proper contract, money to spend and certain contractual promises then that would be a different thing all together.

Bellamy would be my choice without doubt but I’m pretty sure he’s not well thought of with the current regime.

Re: Bellers

Anyone know how Bellers got on with Osian Roberts in the Wales camp ?

Maybe a great partnership ?

As others have said, Bellers maybe a good shout (cheap, local, attack minded, etc) with no players in - worth a chance until end of season as It looks like we ain't going anywhere fast at the moment.

What have we got to loose at present, I say :bluescarf:

Re: Bellers

Wed Dec 30, 2020 6:38 pm

Everyone loved Bellamy as a player (well everyone except John Arne Riise), but I just don't understand the belief amongst many of our fans that he is the answer to our managerial woes.
He has no experience and got sacked by the club. Why would he come when he seems quite comfortable in his current.
Unless Vincent's mother tells Vince and his gang to give him a job, there's no chance of it happening, so can we please move on.
If we had a board with an ounce of football knowledge, they'd be casting their eye over suitable candidates (should they actually think they need a new man at the helm that is).
Hopefully Nigel Pearson is on that list.

Club have already spoken to him about the position!

Re: Bellers

It would be interesting to know if Bellamy and Kompany would come as a team since they have been working together

Would Vincent Kompany be interested in championship or would he want a big Premier team ?

His connections both internationally and at Man City could be massively beneficial

Re: Bellers

Bellamy did not get sacked by ccfc he was put on leave pending an investigation which came to nothing but 2 parents who didn’t like the truth about there son ( he wasn’t good enough ) and they didn’t like the truth so they called him a bully . After investigation there was no case to answer so that tells me Bellamy did nothing wrong and can return to the club whenever he likes .so I think get him in with bamba as assistant and put some fire and passion back into this team

Actually he did not leave as the investigation began, he stood down until the investigation was complete which is the normal with these type of things, in the meantime he was offered a job elsewhere, which he accepted

Love the way it came to nothing, just some over pampered little tw*t no doubt with over bearing parents, I think we really need some one like bellers to spark some passion and drive in the club. Look at them the other night, getting paid a years salary every week and couldn’t give a monkeys.....if anything, at least we’d be fired up for the derby for once!

He would be a disaster , he needs to go to Celtic after Lennon and cut his teeth m there and then come to us. Man management is the key in modern game and not just coaching skills.

progression from Celtic see,lol,lol.

My "research' -
BBC - Craig Bellamy stepped down as Cardiff Under-18s coach after the club's decision to investigate a bullying claim against him.

WOL - 'I removed myself from the academy to allow the club to carry out a full and robust investigation'. Bellamy issued a statement in which he accepts that aspects of his coaching methods need to be improved.

I really do hope he turns out to be a great coach, but that doesn't change my view that he's not the right person to take over at Cardiff now. Neither does it change my view that I dont think the current owners would have him back.

No 'agenda', just my opinion.

wanted. He’s definitely worth a shot

Definately bellers for me 100%.
Someone who can instill positive mindset, links to youth academy and is the most obvious choice for me.

No, sorry, he simply stood down from his duties whilst an investigation took place, i.e. stayed away from the academy

He removed himself from post (not sacked) some time later :thumbright:
