He should resign rather than wait for the sack, but of course there would be no pay off involved then. I guess that means its not going to happen then. There was a time when people did resign when they knew their time was up, but the only thing that matter now is the size of the pay off. Sad, as he would leave with a lot more respect if he did take the honourable course of action
