' Badly missing Jordi '

It's easy, in hindsight, to lump a lot of the blame on Bacuna for his display against Brentford. But, in his defence, for the most part he has been decent enough in a position he is not awfully comfortable with.

He is not a defender and the very definition of the position of right back means you have to, first and foremost, defend.

It's a double blow for Cardiff, too, because I think he is possibly their best midfielder on his day.

He is different to Will Vaulks, Joe Ralls and Marlon Pack. He is so much more dynamic, so quick, strong and has an eye for a killer pass.

So, Bacuna playing at right back is weakening two positions, really.

Jordi Osei-Tutu is due to return to training over the next week or so and that is very welcome news. But, until he is fully fit, do Cardiff need another makeshift solution? Another centre back in there or even a change in formation?

City's midfielders are struggling to really make an impact at the top end of the pitch at the minute, too, Vaulks' Brentford double aside, of course, and Bacuna is key to that.

Yes, there are many defensive errors, but Cardiff are creating so few clear-cut chances, especially against the top teams, and Bacuna could be instrumental in that.
